[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Product was applied and we saw results in about a weeks time. It worked on most weeds. "nut grass" and "small broad leaf weed" didn't seem to be affected. Product was applied the day of watering in dry sunny conditions.

I have used Scotts products since the 1960's when I moved to Ohio and then back to Texas. Started with Turf Builder and had outstanding success. Started using Bonus when it first came out and was very pleased with the results. Last year (2015) and this year Bonus S dis not work and the clover and dandelions grew faster than the grass. I will go back to your Turf-builder next year. Sam

I had used a well-known lawn service for several years and they applied their product about seven times a year at a very high cost. Three years ago, I switched to applying Scott's Bonus S myself in the Spring and Fall and my lawn has never looked so good. Virtually no weeds and a lush and thick Zoysia lawn that the neighbors all rave about . . .!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a difficult product to review because it takes patience and some of the targeted weeds this product is designed for is harder to kill than others. I used this product with dollarweed in my cross hairs. As anyone who has waged war against hydrocotyle umbellata knows, this is one of the hardest weeds to get rid of. Too little product and nothing happens. Too much and you may kill some of the dollarweed but most likely all you will do is kill the surrounding St. Augustine grass. The product was applied on April 4th and when I went back one week later on April 11th there was definite improvement as some of the dollarweed was browning and in the process of dying without any negative affect to the surrounding grass. This is going to be as multi-phase, ongoing process to get as much of the weed killed without damage to the rest of the yard. Overall, I know of no other product that is as effective as Bonus S in killing and keeping my St. Augustine yard as healthy and weed free as possible. I recommend it highly but strongly advise everyone to use as directed because as with most products of this type, more is not always better.

Ive used the Bonus S weed and feed for many years on our 4 acre grass in our Shreveport home and it worked like a champ. I bought 6 bags for our ocean front 1 acre lawn in Ocean Springs and applied it several weeks ago. It absolutely failed spectacularly on our beach house lawn. The weeds have proliferated during this time and Ive wasted 3 bags on our front lawn, with 3 bags still in reserve for our back yard. For some reason, what worked on our Shreveport lawn just destroyed our Ocean Springs lawn.

I ended up pulling my weeds. This product did turn a few of of the weeds yellow but did not kill anything. Do not buy this product! I dont even have my receipt so I cannot even think of getting my money back. I spent good money on something I trusted would work. I am soo upset about it not working and me having to manually pull the weeds. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

My neighbors have been asking me what product I use and I happy to report this one. Hopefully my neighbors yards look great soon too!

i think that using this product consistently (4 applications) did prevent weeds this spring - there were nowhere near the number of weeds we had in previous years. however, the application instructions are very confusing. Scotts should address this! the bag seems to indicate that 4x per year is optimal, yet the website product info says no more than 2x per year. the poor souls who had no luck with this product were advised to apply when daytime temps are consistently 60-85 degrees and to apply to dry lawns. but the bag indicates dry OR wet lawn. it says apply in early spring (pre-emergent!) and temps are NOT 60-85 in February. and now, in rereading the website and bag, i see that i shouldn't have used this product on my lawn because it is a mix of st. augustine and bermuda. Buyers and Users - read instructions carefully! but, Scotts, please rethink/rewrite your instructions!
