I haven't had a chance to put my Scotts Turf Builder out yet because I'm waiting on the rain to help get the builder into the sand. Now that Fred, our tropical storm, is coming, I'm planning on getting it out on my yard this weekend!!! I've used Scott's Turf Builder in the past and know it will give me a beautiful yard and with less weeds!!

Perfectly formulated for St. Augustine grass and Florida lawns. I’ve used this fertilizer blend for a few years and it brought my ragtag lawn back from mixed weeds and brown spots to thick, emerald green, St Augustine grass. Most of my neighbors use services that spray chemicals on the lawns monthly, my grass is denser, healthier and greener.

Scott's Bonus S is my go to fertilizer/weed control for my St Augustine grass. Since I apply 3 times every year I don't see a "pop" of green as it is pretty much a deep green all year. This Bonus S keeps my lawn nearly weed free all year as well. You can't go wrong with the fertilizer.

My main issues were due to problems with application: The fertilizer had many large "clumps" in the bag that had to be broken up by hand. Given the toxicity warnings this was an unwelcome and disagreeable task. Also, the bag was supposed to cover 10,000 sq. ft., but using the recommended setting on my Scotts broadcast spreader I got barely half this coverage and I had to reduce the setting to even do this, as it was obvious that I was not going to be able to cover the yard at the rate that the fertilizer was being dispensed. The box that the fertilizer arrived in was in shreds, but the heavy plastic bag was not damaged. Where I was able to cover, the lawn greened up nicely. (My grass is a mixture of Centipede and St. Augustine.) However, even given that I was evidently over-applying, the weed control has not been as effective as other products I've used. The fire-ant control seems to have been somewhat effective though. Overall I'd rate my experience with this product as so-so, mainly due to application issues but also somewhat due to weed control effectiveness.

I purchased this trying to save money with these fertilizing companies, bad idea!!! I purchased this product and applied as instructed, water right away, woke up the next day and almost had a stroke!!! We just spent $1600 on replacing our Sod, we were 45 day out and they recommend to fertilize your sod, that’s what we did ! Never again !!! I will let Mother Nature take care of my Lawn !!!! I water and call it a day !!! I returned this product ! We have St. Augustine sod .

Hope it works. Put it down, watered and now there are black areas in the yard.

Weed killers are not like they used to be.

It did not work. I still have weeds and it did not green up my grass I have St Augustine Floratam grass.

This is easy to spread, but very effective. The weeds take 1-2 weeks to die, but my lawn looks great.

Price was better than at Lowe’s or Home Depot and it didn’t come out clumpy and clog up in my spreader. Seems to be working because grass is greener and some weeds are dying.
