I live South Carolina and the heat and direct sun are a huge issue for growing and keeping a nice lawn. Our lawn never goes dormant, but every living green thing begins really growing in February/March depending on the year. I applied the product in Late April (I thought too late) after weeds had invaded a large part of my yard. I watered as directed and soon I had huge brown spots where the weeds had died...Not to worry! In about 2 weeks the grass had grown in and the lawn looked great! I highly recommend this product!

Although, it is fairly soon, I do seem to notice some of the early weeds to be wilting. My grass is coming in a vibrant green. The area that I applied this on has centipede. I have another area with bermuda where I'll have to use something different, since the directions state that it cannot be used there. Overall, I would recommend this product.

I have St Augustine Floratam sod in northeast Florida. I have been using Scott's bonus S for years with success. This year dollar weed invaded my back yard from my neighbor. I applied bonus S and after two weeks I can see the dollar weed leaves turning yellow and brown. Thank you Scott's. In the front yard I missed a strip of lawn. The rest of the lawn is much darker/greener. You can easily tell how effective the "feed" of weed and feed is working.

I have used this product on the same lawn effectively for many years. However, this year the product no longer works on dandelions and crabgrass. The weeds have either developed a resistance to the product or the formula was changed. I will not use this product again and will try another brand.

Put this on my lawn -purchased it because of the name - and it has killed my St. Augustene grass. Grass was lush last year - this year I bought this product in order to weed and feed my lawn - followed instructions to the letter - 3 weeks letter it's dead. Now what? Extremely disappointed.

i think that using this product consistently (4 applications) did prevent weeds this spring - there were nowhere near the number of weeds we had in previous years. however, the application instructions are very confusing. Scotts should address this! the bag seems to indicate that 4x per year is optimal, yet the website product info says no more than 2x per year. the poor souls who had no luck with this product were advised to apply when daytime temps are consistently 60-85 degrees and to apply to dry lawns. but the bag indicates dry OR wet lawn. it says apply in early spring (pre-emergent!) and temps are NOT 60-85 in February. and now, in rereading the website and bag, i see that i shouldn't have used this product on my lawn because it is a mix of st. augustine and bermuda. Buyers and Users - read instructions carefully! but, Scotts, please rethink/rewrite your instructions!

I live on west coast of Florida, dollar weeds were all over my St Augustine lawn. Lawn didn't look good, many bare areas where grass wasn't growing at all. Scott's Super Bonus Weed & Feed took care of the dollar weeds, after a few weeks, they started shriveling up. My lawn's never looked better in 15 years. I've tried other products, nothing matches Scott's performance on my lawn. I wish I used it from the first year. Lawn is now green, lush looking and no dollar weeds.

I have some weeds in my yard so I am waiting to see how the granules react on the weeds. Application was yesterday so cannot determine how the product effectiveness on weeds.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very apprehensive about using Scoots "weed and feed" products as I've heard and read horror stories about them burning up the yard. I'm here to tell you that wasn't the case with my St. Augustine lawn. we installed new sod 2 years ago but towards the back third of the property we started running out of SOD so we laid the grass in a checkerboard pattern and after 2 growing seasons it has mostly filled in but I still had some crabgrass, dandelions, and dollar weed in this particular part of my yard. ONE application of Scoots Turf Builder Bonus S Weed and Feed 2 and 3 days later almost all of the crabgrass was turning brown/grey. the dollar grass and dandelions started showing signs of stress a few days later... several weeks later I am almost 100% weed free! I WILL USE THIS PRODUCT EVERY SPRING!!!

It doesn't burn my grass and keeps everything looking great. It really helps to kill off all the weeds I get from the holidays with the decor in the yard killing my grass also.
