Love this gate!!! Bought it to keep my daughter in and the dogs out!! Works great!! Even though my Chihuahua is able to squeeze threw the bars, my other dogs are bigger and can't. And since the gate is so tall, they are unable to jump it like they do the smaller ones.

We began putting the gate together in the doggie room. At first, it appeared that the top of the gate would not connect. We were all stumped. I suggested that we put the gate in the door frame to see if that would make a difference (and it did)! Once inside the door frame and pressure was applied by tightening up the four screws, we were able to secure the gate and the top closure worked perfectly! I was somewhat disappointed because there was no spring on the gate. Of course, that was not a necessity, but that extra feature would have been nice! I purchased the gate for the lady who grooms and kennels my dogs! Several of them are runners and the lady does not live far from the street. People come in and out dropping off and picking up dogs throughout the day. To put my mind at ease, I gifted the gate to her! She was so excited and said,”I don’t know why I never thought about getting this before!” I don’t think she realized that some dog owners may have been concerned about their fur babies safety! Now, for the price of the gate, all pet owners have peace of mind! What a small price to pay!

Not too hard to install and easy to use, but Im not a huge fan of the latching feature. Which you must lock at the top and bottom manually. The biggest downside is that some of it screws in the wall, but it's still held up by pressure. My dogs 70ish lbs and they got excited and bumped it (not even trying to get out) and knocked the whole thing over. Would be scared to have a toddler put all their weight on it!!

Item came well packed. It is well made - metal not plastic. Solid. Easy to adjust for doorway. I have to slip sideways thru door but safer than stepping over a baby gate! Can install for gate swing direction. Using as a cat barrier in my garage door walkway so only using pressure knobs (must secure into doorframe for a child!). High enough so he can't jump over it. Removeable in fall. Now I can leave garage door open for ventilation. I ziptied plastic netting to the bars to prevent escape. Perfect for my need. Cat is still planning a breakout.

This is a well made product and it worked for what I needed till I found a better alternative. The gate was purchased to keep the dogs from going into the bedrooms and we had to raise it off the floor so our big cat could scoot under it. The bars are too close together for the cats to slide through. Well that's become a pain in the neck as there's a bar that goes all the way across. So you have to step over it each time and that's getting old fast. I don't know how I missed it but this same company makes the same gate with a small pet entry door! So I'm returning this gate and have the other gate on order. Also please take notice that the gate opening is rather small so if you are a large person it means having to turn sideways to get through. Laundry baskets have to be lifted up and over. We're going to the shorter gate as I'm small and lifting stuff over the gate is hard. Nice product for the price.

My granddaughter has two dog's we watch time to time. We have hardwood floors so we don't let them in the main area of the house. She has two wooden gates that you have to step over to go into the other area of the house. With the gates we just swing open the door and walk through! Much much safer!

Amazing gate! Easy assembly. Good quality. Comes up to rib cage vicinity on me - I'm 5'8" tall. Keeps ou jumping very strong Pit Bulls within our kitchen with no issue! Very seamless opening mechanism. Our 7 yr. old son loves the ease of operation on his own. Highly recommend this gate for the total cost. We are ordering 1 more too now! Thank you Walmart for inexpensive & prompt shipping! Overall a great purchase & great transaction!

I like the product, there could have been one more extension with small size. It works perfect and sits properly without screws. The locking system could be better. My gate is sitting so tight I need to push little to unlock to open the gate. rest all good.

So the height of the gate was what was important to me so that we could ensure our cats wouldn’t hop the gate. It’s advertised as 41” tall once assembled, we got the same gate but it’s assembled height is only 36”. We decided to try it anyways and have had a motion sensor camera on it since it’s been set up, so far it still has kept the cats away, they haven’t even attempted to jump over it, so it is working. But I was disappointed that it was 5” shorter than it was supposed to be. As far as the gate itself, it is fantastic. Just be aware that it’s not the height advertised.

This seems to be a good product, solid, no sharp edges. Used 'as is' in a 32" doorframe, the four pressure pads were not secure as they should be - the four pressure pad adjusment bolts were extended too far to be stable I added 1-7/8" of wood to each side of the door frame and inset the pads ~3/8' deep with a 1-3/8" Forstner bit. This modification exposes much less of the four adjustment bolts and the unit is much more stable. Our Grandson loves it - it helps him to stand and may be an aid to him walking sooner. This product offers extensions to fix wider opening - a six inch one was in the box with ours. I would suggest making the gate/frame about 3" wider, or put a 3-3-1/2" extension in the box since I believe most doorways are 32". Enjoyed adapting this gate to our door (It gave me an excuse to purchase a set of Forstner bits).
