If i could give this a half a star i would. We just received our gate today. We followed all the directions on assembly. Unfortunately, the steel or metal that the manufacturer uses to make this gate is of very very poor quality. The metal was bent out to the side even with the alignment screws in place. Because the metal was bent, the lock wouldnt even line up with the other side of the gate. And thats the other problem. It may have been missing the piece on the other side of the gate because there was nothing for the lock to lock on to. I am very very displeased with this gate

I purchased this product to keep the dog in the kitchen & out of the rest of the house. The wood & plastic gate we had before, the dog chewed a hole in and he could jump over it and when the kids wanted to get in the kitchen, they had to climb over it. Not very safe. Now, I don't have to worry about the dog chewing up the gate or jumping over it, I just have to worry about the kids leaving it open. I would recommend this product for pets, I'm not sure about kids though, but I suppose any 4 year old could figure out how to work it. When shopping for a new gate, I found this same gate at a pet supply store for double the price of this.

Got my gate today, have pups and 1 yr old gr granddaughter. This door is perfect for both. I was worried that it might not fit my less than 28" door. Well it wouldn't have had I not come up with an idea. The gate is a little under 27" but once you put the screws in the ends, the tightening gadget are big, 1" wide and with one at each end that added 2" to the width. What we did is remove the tightening gadget off the top and bottom of one side and instead we just used regular hex nuts in their place and were able to tighten it just as well. Fits perfect. I don't mind that it only opens one way and the gate width is plenty big to get thru, like some complained about. It's nice looking and does the job. The price is reasonable also.

Very tall. My son stands on his rocking horse to climb over other gates, but this one is tall enough to stop him. I also like the wall mounts that are included. He pushes and pulled at the gate, but it stays in place. The price was around the same as a standard gate, even though it is extra tall. Easy to install

I really like this gate. Although I didn't expect to have to screw anything into the walls, it was 4 very small screws & well worth it. It's great to be able to walk through vs climb over the gate. The opening is a little narrow, but again still worth it.

Gate is nice and sturdy, made of steel instead of plastic. Imagine that, something made of steel and not plastic. Unheard of these days. Like everything about it. Just wondering why 3 of the holes the pressure pins goes in are not threaded but the 4th hole is????? We put up the gate going into the laundry room where our dog stays when we are out. Easy to operate, no complaints.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a gate that would not only keep my 1 year old out my kitchen but also my 2 year old and I must say since I put it up I no longer have any problems with them going in there I no longer worry bout then hurting them selfs

I bought this gate to try & keep my cats out of our baby's room. It works perfect, my cats haven't gotten into the room yet, it's tall enough that they won't jump over it. The only 2 things I would complain about are the fact that on the bottom of the gate, by the opening, the bars are kind of far apart & a cat can easily fit through there. We just zip tied the extension part to the gate to fix the problem. Also, I'm 9 months pregnant & the opening of the gate is pretty narrow to fit through. Other than that, that gate is perfect!

I have gone through a few gates by various companies. I was tired of climbing over the small wood one I had. I then had a tall metal one that I couldn't climb over and it didn't open. I found this one and the second it was set up I loved it. The height is great and will keep my large dog away from the front door yet allow me to pass through. So: the height is great, very easy to set up, the ability to open the door and walk through is awesome, the locking mechanism is great, the price was reasonable I would recommend this gate to people with pets of all sizes and /or small children.

I was extremely disappointed and upset for wasting my time and money with this gate! There is a large space where the gate opening mechanism should connect with the latch so it cannot latch and the bolts for the pressure mount kit is too small so it cannot work. HORRIBLE!!!
