I saw the Mini Rice Cooker being used and I was very impressed with what it could do, so I decided to purchase it. And let me tell you, very impressive. I made one of the recipes in the book.....the Pineapple Fried Rice. OMG! It turned out unbelievably delicious! I like rice but never wanted to bother to cook it because of the hassle and mess. No need to worry about those problems with the Mini Rice Cooker. So easy to use and the rice comes out perfect. But the added benefit is that it makes the BEST oatmeal! I use the quick oats and in about 15 minutes you have perfect oatmeal every time. So easy to clean up because of the non-stick surface. Love this machine and I guarantee you will too!

I knew it'd be small but he really is tiny. Makes the perfect amount of rice for little ol' me to eat on my own in one day. On my first try I had to turn the cooker off myself and the rice formed a bit of a skin on the bottom but it was easy to clean off.

Bought one in every color for Mother's day gifts for family members and had to give them early...Cutest and versatile little items...From boiling potatoes and carrots for babies to romantic meals for two...These little rascals come in handy for everything you can think of...No more large pots in the fridge...Goes from fridge to heated in less than 25 minutes...Father's Day I'm coming back for more, for the guys lunches...Per their requests...LOL

This little unit worked perfectly, and takes up less room on our kitchen counter or cabinets. It cooked 2 cups perfectly and was to our exact outcome hoped for. We wanted something simple to replace an aging, yet still functional Zojirushi rice cooker at a much lower price point. The larger 5.5 cup cooker was just becoming too cumbersome in our senior years, and the Mini Rice Cooker from Dash is working out great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love being able to cook up a small amount of rice and walk away. I don't need to time it or pay attention to make sure it doesn't over cook. I am just mad at myself for waiting so long to actually get it!

I bought this Mini Rice Cooker because I wanted to make 2 cups of raw rice at a time. This device can only cook 1 Cup of (white Jasmine) rice. If I had put 2 cups of raw rice in the inner bowl, it would have spilled over and made a mess. Also, inside the bowl, I could only see measuring marks for "1.0 Cups" and "0.5" cups . Why does the packaging say "2 Cup capacity", what am I missing. Also, there was no recipe book in my packaging. I wonder why.

I like it's simplicity and consistency but the issue I've had with 2 of these same cookers is that the lids pop off awkwardly & the liquid bubbles over every where! It makes such a huge mess! I've tried making smaller amounts, which I don't think I should have to, & I eventually used a coffee mug to try to hold it down. It helps a little, only. Now I'm using like a hard plastic casing that surrounds it perfectly so that the mess is more contained. I've needed this to work because I can't make rice on my stove. So, it's good in that I get good rice made without burning, or cooking too little & it's hard. Push comes to shove.If you'd like a photo/video of this issue while it's happening, is be happy to take some to show what it does. I've followed directions and make according to the manual, but every single time, I've got a mess to clean after. It doesn't happen on reheating so that's good.

I’m a single person who lives alone and this mini rice cooker is the perfect size. i can make enough rice for just myself to last 2 or 3 meals depending on what i’m eating with it. it would also be a great gift for college students as it wouldn’t take up much space in a dorm.

Received cooker today. Ran a test batch of white rice through the cooker. First, I noticed the cooker is pretty flimsy, but thought I would give it a chance. Used the provided measuring cup and followed directions. Rice burned.. Not edible at all, who wants to taste that? Returning this rice cooker asap.

I am currently facing a huge reduction in my SNAP (food stamps) allotment next month along with 3 million others in my state. My new Dash Rice Cooker is helping me deal with this, as well as hyperinflation and food delivery chain unreliability, by almost 100% food waste elimination and/or substitution of ingredients right out of the box. I now cook almost 100% with this Rice Cooker only or alongside the traditional natural gas powered kitchen stove at presently more limited times. I have plenty of ideas & recipes gained via online videos & websites, "Rice Cooker" cookbooks, the local public library, and even my own modified recipes. I feel confident that I will be able to still eat very healthy, with good generous proportions, no skimping, and always enjoy hot delicious meals no matter what happens-or even if I don't have a kitchen anymore. Thank you Dash for creating such an affordable, cheery and very colorful little devices for people with fixed limited incomes, too!
