I have been buying these for many years to make my mom's tater tot hotdish recipe. Made it tonight with no changes. The tater tots were SO-O SALTY! I couldn't believe how different they tasted. I had to go to the website and compare sodium content to other brands. Ore-Ida has 450 mg per 3 oz serving size!  Aldi brand has 290 mg per 3 oz serving. Guess I will be giving up my old favorite.
Also, they wouldn't get crispy. I don't know what Ore-Ida did, but they sure have changed their tater tots for the worse!

Warning: extremely high sodium now!

Excellent quality Tater Tots that deserve 5 stars.  I can't give 5 stars because: The packaging should be a resealable bag.  Most families aren't going to cook all 8 pounds of tots in one meal.  We struggle to clamp the bag closed secure enough for storage in our freezer.  Add a quality zip lock type resealable bag & this is a 5 star, excellent quality Tater Tots product!
