Bought these as a convienient way to make air fried chicken wings. First these are quite large. For me skin to meat is critical and I prefer medium sized wings to get more skin. Yum. Next is a gross issue. These wings -in my bag anyhow, have a lot of retained feathers. If I wanted feathers I'd go to my coop and get a layer. A problem in removing the feathers is the wings are "glazed in ice" which means they are buried in ice (are these sold by weight). All that aside, they are good and convirnient.

Im not sure if theyve changed their source for these wings recently or what. These are the worst wings ive ever eaten in my life. Each one has an ice cube sized chunk of ice stuck to it, and once cooked theyre just gross. Even deep fried in oil theyre chewy. They look like they should be nice and meaty but theyre pumped full of water and shrink to normal size or even kinda small when cooked.

Do not buy. When you pull them out of the bag, they're huge. The drumettes look like small drumsticks. What you'll discover is that the reason they're so big is that it's full of water and ice. When you start to cook them, a large quantity of water seeps out and their size becomes normal to what you'd expect from wings. We use an air fryer to cook these and the amount of water that thaws and accumulates in the tray is a lot. A third to half of the weight is water so you're actually getting less wings per lbs. so you're not getting any value out of this. I saw other reviewers have the same experience as me with over sized wings that are full of water that seeps out as the chicken is getting cooked.

Gotta love it = gotta have it.

We air fry these and add either teriyaki or buffalo sauce afterward.

Appeared good sized but these shrink to 1/3 the size of frozen state.
