I LOVE these jarred mango slices from Sam's! Years ago I lived in an area where mangos were grown and I discovered that I LOVE them. Now I frequently purchase mangos from the grocery store.so I am very familiar with eating fresh mangos, but I had never tried jarred mangos before. Aside from the convenience of these mangos already being peeled and sliced off the pit, the jarred mangos are so much more juicy and tender than fresh ones. And these mangos are a good source of fiber and vitamin A. Of course after opening the jar, I first sampled some right from the jar. Then I served them as a side with a Loaded Nachos meal. And I have continued to enjoy them right from the jar as a healthy, quick snack. These would also be great in a smoothie or just diced and frozen to enjoy as a healthy dessert.

TASTE HORRIBLE!!! Being from a Caribbean island with access to dozens of different types of mangos growing everywhere, I assure you this is not it. I’m not even getting the taste of peaches like some reviews mentioned. The texture is soft and slimy, very unpleasant. I bought the jar just becase I was hungry while shopping, huge mistake. Save your money and do not buy this jar. Frozen mangoes (even Great v brand) taste 100 times better.

Purchased to use as a topping for vanilla ice cream and for mango salsa. They taste delicious as a topping on ice cream and will try them on mango salsa next to serve with shrimp. My daughter and I tried them on their own and even though they are good, both agreed fresh mangos taste better on their own, but are a bit messy to eat.

So it’s definitely not as good straight out of the jar but here’s the trick to making it a summer time favorite. Put the slices of mango on the grill and season it with Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cinnadust seasoning blend. About 5 minutes each side on a hot grill, and you’ll have dessert that tastes better than peach cobbler! It was a random and instant favorite at our pool party. I would also probably refrigerate and possibly serve with ice cream!

I did not think that I would like jarred mangoes. I am glad that I bought these and proved myself worng.They were sweet and delicious. I ate them straight from the jar and, they are also great in smoothies and chopped up in oatmeal. I will definitely continue to buy these. It's better than taking my chances on fresh mangoes that turn out to be hard and bitter.

Hassle free of not having to cut and peel mangos and very delicious.Not the same as fresh mango as the texture is a little different and not as firm but overall quality is good and a quick way to have some mango. I just like to eat mine plain sliced up while my wife ate some chopped up with some tajin on it. In my opinion any canned or jarred fruit doesn't taste the same as fresh but these are a quick and easy way to enjoy mango. Would purchase again as the price is not a bad deal for how many are in the jar.

They are just too mushy and nothing like the fresh ones. Save your money and buy fresh!

When I bought the jarred mangoes there were no fresh mangoes available. The price was very good and the quality also good.
