This is the type of basil that smells like licorice and therefore does not have that tangy, don’t know the word, taste and smell of the Italian Basil. I see it has good reviews, but just not my style. You would think they’d stick with the more popular type.

Good buy on seasoning. Useful to have them around for recipes.

Excellent spice for price. The container is nice too, tall size does not take up too much cabinet space. Visually more pleasing now too

The ones I have bought in the past were good. The latest one I bought has bugs crawling around inside.

I bought many spices from Sam’s Club they were priced well and I bought many spice’s of the largest that I could buy.

Opened it up and it smelled like anise. It's Thai basil, which I don't like. It should be written on the label what variety of basil it is. I just assumed it would be a sweet variety. Had to throw away.
