After talking about getting a new mattress for 5 years, I'm so glad we finally took the plunge with Tempurpedic! The customer contact and support between choosing our bed, shipping, and deciding on a delivery date moved quickly and easily. Getting the bed in and set up was timely and problem-free as well. The best part of all has been the bed itself: so comfortable and relaxing, and waking up without back pain has been a huge game-changer!

When I first bought this mattress I didn't know what to think as I have never owned or slept on a Tempur-Pedic mattress before. Our previous mattress was over 11 years old and was an excellent mattress (Lady Americana). We loved it but of course at 11 years it wasn't as comfortable as before. My wife and I went to a local retailer and tested out multiple Temper-Pedic mattresses and decided on the Pro Adapt Hybrid (Queen) as I am 6'2 and 225 lbs. We also purchased an adjustable ERGO base. This has the Zero G function that relives a lot fo pressure from my wife's back as she has back pain due to an accident and major surgery. The first 3-4 months was not as comfortable as I thought it would be. The reason seems to be that the mattress was actually correcting my sleeping position and this caused my lower back to hurt for about 2-3 months intermittently. After that period I sleep like the dead on our mattress, LOL. I will say that sleeping on my back is a little tricky and this mattress doesn't quite support my lower back as much as my old mattress, but I fall asleep on my side and that does the trick. If you are looking for a mattress to sleep on your back and you are over 200lbs, I would recommend the Lux Adapt (Firm), if you can afford it. Its pretty pricey. I have only had the mattress for just under a year so this review is based on that time frame. So far, so good. I would like to give it a few more years and see how well it holds up. Overall it seems like a good purchase and if you can afford it, this mattress seems like a solid purchase, but only time will tell.

The moment you lay down on it, you're body just begins to relax. The tensions of the day melt away. It doesn't matter if you're more comfortable on your back or your side, this mattress just follows the contours of your body. It's by far the best mattress I've ever slept on and I would recommend it to anyone.

I have had the new mattress, pillows and sheets now for about 30 days. So far I like it a lot, almost love but too soon to give it that. Humans spend a lot of time in bed and I have went with the cheap mattresses for over 50 years and almost got a sleep number bed, but after talking to people that have them, I realized that Tempur will be the better investment. I recommend to buy new sheets and pillows with a new mattress. AND get the mattress protector if you have pets that get on the bed (allowed or not) and kids, night #5 my dog tested it and boy was I feeling like a smart man. you will be the first to know if this bed doesn't hold up to the name. It has helped us recover from any issues we had experienced previously. It is incredibly supportive. We went out of town last weekend and could not wait to get home to our matress. We purchased a Pro-Adapt Firm, knowing we have 90 days to try it and purchase a different model if that one didn't work for us. After a month, we decided to upgrade. The payment system was apparently down and it took a week to get through to anyone to process the payment. We paid over $2,000 more for the upgrade over a month and a half ago. We still have not received the mattress. I've spent 3.5 hours on the phone on various holds over a couple days, only to be told that the delivery company for some reason has not scheduled the delivery. I was told I would get an answer on this and a delivery date within 24 hours. This was a week ago and I am now on the phone again, trying to get through to someone. I've been on hold for ___ minutes so far and still no one was picked up. I'm on an endless loop of an automated message. Do not buy from Tempurpedic online. If I had to do it over again, I would not buy from them at all. This has been incredibly frustrating.

We are loving this mattress. I used to wake up 3 and 4 times a night and never would I sleep later than 4 a.m. Now I am waking up at 7-7:30. Good thing we are retired! The only negative thing I would say is that it is hard to change positions, but being able to sleep all night and get a full night's sleep is wonderful.

I'm very disappointed, because the people who worked here told me that the medium hybrid would work for my height and weight as a side sleeper. I am 5"3 and 135 pounds for reference. My hips are very sore as I'm building up pressure points and I can feel the supporting layers underneath. This bed is way too firm for a side sleeper of my side. I wake up every day with a sore back sore ,sides and sore hips . I toss and turn all night long and have very bad sleep. I will say though it's not hot and it does not feel like you're on a heater or anything like that, I'm not a hot sleeper though so I'm not really sensitive to that. But that is only plus side I can think of. Unless you're a bigger person I warn you to not get this if you are a petite side sleeper, it is extremely firm and so uncomfortable.
