We are still breaking it in but I will say it is the most comfortable mattress we have ever owned. We did trade out the box springs for the smaller version because of height issues. We wished the box springs came in a small, medium, or large. We would have preferred a medium height. Still we are enjoying great sleep.

We bought this bed after tracking our sleep scores for some time to get a better understanding of why we weren't sleeping as well as we could. Our sleep scores have significant improved and we wake up refreshed and with out the aches and pains that we had before.

Bottom line: it's super comfortable, but sleeps a little hot I tried so many mattresses and even purchased a different brand mattress that felt comfortable in the store, but when I slept on it at home it hurt my hips when I slept on my side, so I returned it. Even a medium or plush mattress felt too firm. Then I tried the ProAdapt Soft and I loved it, but kept looking elsewhere since I hadn't planned to spend that much. After trying many more mattresses, I eventually made the right decision and invested in the ProAdapt Soft. It is so comfortable! I truly love it. I am mostly a side sleeper but with this mattress I don't feel any discomfort on my hips or other pressure points. I had also read that being a lighter-weight female might be why so many other beds felt too firm, because I wasn't really sinking into them. With this mattress, that is not a problem at all. The one thing I don't like about this mattress is that I started sleeping much hotter. It has gotten better as I've gotten used to it and only bothers me sometimes now. That said, if I had the money, I would probably upgrade to one of the cooling models. But I am still extremely happy with my purchase!

We got the firm split king with adjustable base based on recommendations of back dr and Physical therapist. It felt great in the store ( after hundreds had tried it out) and I was warned it would take some time to break in, so I'm trying to be patient. It is getting better and I have high hopes. The two big problems is the bottom sheet constantly pulling out and never being really tight while sleeping. The second is making the bed! It's near impossible to make it tight . The corners stay put but the middle never stays that way. I added a very good mattress pad and it helps some. I have ordered QuickZip sheets because changing the sheets weekly is just way to difficult as we are older. Hopefully that will make a big difference and waiting for the shipment to arrive. I'm looking forward to the bed getting more comfortable.

I needed a new mattress because for a long time I was not sleeping well. I am now!! Pressure points on my hip and shoulder made me sore on my 10 year old mattress. A friend recommended a Tempur pedic. I am so glad I purchased the Proadapt mattress in soft. No more sore pressure points and I sleep much better now.

I bought this bed because I was having major issues with back pain making it difficult to get out of bed in the morning - I opted to go with a firm mattress because this is what my mom had and it seemed to help her. My first night on this bed, it was so much firmer than anything else I had ever slept on before that I thought I had made a huge mistake in purchasing such a firm mattress. I waited over four years to finally buy this mattress and I am so in love with it. I will admit the first few days were not good, it took a few days to get used to the feel and I tossed and turned a bit. But now after having it for three weeks my husband and I just love it and sleep so good. Everybody asks me if it's hot and NO it's not all. We live near Sacramento and the Summers are very warm here and I think my old mattress felt so much warmer. Also I got the Pro Adapt Cooling Pillows in Mid height and I love those too. You will NOT regret buying this mattress and pillows.

I wasn't sure about how long the "break in period" would take but after two weeks of sleeping on the mattress, I began to feel the difference and sleep better and better. I thought I bought the wrong firmness but after the 4th week, I knew I made the correct choice. After sleeping on other types of memory foam mattresses for over 10 years, I am totally convinced there is nothing better than my Tempur-ProAdapt. I will never go back to those other types and brands. Thank you Tempur-Pedic for giving me "The Best" mattress I've ever owned. Know more back pains or waking up several times in the night. I can't think of one thing I don't like or am sorry I spent a little more for a Tempur-Pedic. This is a quality product!

If you like a firm mattress, this one is for you, but try medium firm in a store first to be sure.

I'm heavy. My previous Tempurpedic medium mattress would sag at contact points after a few nights, aggravating my degenerative spin and causing numbness and pain and impaired mobility. After a couple of weeks on this mattress no pain no numbness. The firmness took a couple of nights to adapt to, but even my 100 lb wife found good sleep after a couple of nights.
