Our Generac was installed new, at the end of February and we are really excited to have it. Although the power has not failed as of yet we feel more secure having the backup/emergency power. I have been disabled for 10 years now and having to lug around a portable generator only to run a fridge and furnace fan was getting very hard to manage for me. Now I can sleep a lot better knowing all that and more will be working as it should when commercial power is not available.

I wish I had better things to say but I feel the company that installed the unit did a poor job the unit leaks oil and when I told them about it on the 1st maintenance visit, they wanted charge me extra this was part of the installation and has been leaking ever since . Other folks may have a better experience with this brand I think it was just the company that has installed mine .

Died 30 minutes into TS Helene 9/24. Even with all the $$ and "certified" service, a wrong oil filter was used causing an oil blowout through air cleaner. 24 hour support a joke, kept referring to companies inside the storm zone (they were wiped out). Took six month to repair after reaching out to a very large generator company 2 hours away. Oh and mobile kept reporting everything was ok (generator was off) for those 6 months.

I bought this magnificently engeneered machine in February this year. My neighbours and friends made fun of me, saying that I didn't need a generator for the entire house. The thing is, I work from home online. No power = no revenue. I own five pets. No power = no drinking water because I have a surface well. No power = no drinking water (for humans too), no flushing, no showering nor bathing. Since the installation a month ago, we have had five power outages which would have cost me five days of work. The transition to the generator power is absolutely seamless, in fact, I was not aware of any of those outages, happily working away in my home office...I learned through the neighbours' complaining about the length of time it took to reestablish power. On a couple of occasions, I could hear a 'lawnmower' going and thought to myself 'who on earth would mow the lawn under three feet of snow! Only then did I realize that the lawnmower noise was actually the generator doing its job! lol I am so glad I did not listen to my neighbours and friends! I rated four stars only because there was a set back with the installation date.

I bought this unit for a rental tiny home on my property. I had already installed a 17kv Generac which services the main house. We have electrical outages several times per year in our rural location and our Generacs work flawlessly to seamlessly continue to provide power when this occurs.

I am very satisfied with the unit itself, however I would never recommend the company used for the installation. They were the worst, most disreputable company ever (ACS Home Services of Tampa Florida) It took us 7 months to get it installed after signing the contract, and they demanded payment in full before they would even deliver the unit to our house after a $1,500.00 deposit at signing.

Had 15 different power outages in the last 12 months and some outages lasted days. We have had no power outages yet sense we bought and installed the Generac generator. Now when storms come I'm not worried about power loss but I am scared of tornadoes.

Since these initial and really no longer relevant items above there have been two emergency stops. I basically emailed everybody for whom I had an address and Kirsten Sandoval responded and told me how to to fix the error. "This issue can be resolved by going out to the generator, making sure the black switch located on the back of the generator is in the up position open the generator lid press off press enter, press auto, and that should clear the code." The first time that occurred was September 7, 2025 according to the date on the email and it occurred once more earlier this year. There is a possible future problem here in that my spouse is not mobile and I am becoming less mobile with age and I can foresee some time in the future when I can't go outside and fix it myself so if there is a permanent fix that would be great. For a period of time after installation the mobile connection would fail for a period of time. I made several complaints and perhaps somebody came out and fixed it when I wasn't here or they did something online to fix it but it has worked fine since.

We bought our Stand by Generator recently and we are delighted with our purchase. I don't have to dread dragging my walker over the extension cords in the floor when the power is off. Now we simply go on as usual after a few seconds. Thank you Generac and Mr. Allen of Allen Residential Electrical for giving us peace of mind in stormy weather.

We bought this 24KW four months ago and was only able to get it installed a month ago. So far we're very pleased with it. We bought a 22KW Generac 20 years ago and got a lot of usage out of it in south Louisiana. Back then it was referred to as a "whole house generator" but we soon learned that didn't mean you could run "everything" in the house on it. It running under a load because of a power outage and my wife was running the clothes washer, dryer, microwave, the electric oven and all the lights at the same time and it handling the load just fine until our 3.5 ton AC kicked on and it started to bog down badly. Lesson learned!! We have only used this one in the exercise schedule and not under a load yet. It is quieter than our old one though.
