I bought one of the first automatic standby Generacs years ago. I hope the new one is as good as the old. The old one was plug and play on the wiring. New one is more difficult on wiring. Have to call or go on Internet to activate. They don't want the average homeowner to install, that's a missed opportunity. Good unit so far.

Installed 22kw unit in October 2016. We are away for several weeks during the winter and we were always fearful that a power outage would result in catastrophic damage to our home and business due to frozen pipes. We also have a sewer pump/grinder unit that only has a capacity of 100 gallons. If we lost power, we couldn't use water without fear of sewage backing up into our house.. My electrician recommended Generac over the other leading brand and reviews backed up his opinion. So we had it installed. It took about a week due to the additional installation of two propane tanks. To date it has given us peace of mind when we are away. The mobile link has worked great allowing us to check the status of the generator when we are out of state. We haven't had any power outages as of yet, but I'm sure one will happen sooner before later.

Generac puts a nice package together with including the transfer switch. We lost power one time so far what a good feeling no interruption in electric no extension cords throughout the house from a portable generator .I can't hear it run it's quiet I need to go to the back of house to hear it when it exercises . It took 3 days to receive from the day I ordered.

My unit has kicked in multiple times since our purchase, be it minutes are hours. There is a minimum loss of power from outage to generator transfer. When power restored, there is no "blink" to indicate house power back on. Once a week , as scheduled, it starts up to run a five minute test.

This is my second Generac over the last 13 years. Besides the one malfunction I had on my last generac both generators haven't missed a lick. Very dependable! I would buy another one if needed. And would recommend this generator to anyone! Thanks for everything!

This is a company that keeps you in the loop. I had ongoing communications with them on installation, training, and follow-up. Terri, in the office had so much knowledge about the process, she was my go to whenever I had a question. Whole house generator is pricey, but you get what you pay for and this gives us peace of mind.

I live in an area where our power goes out at least once a month. To know that we do not have to worry about that anymore is awesome. The installer we had that was qualified to install by Generac was very knowledgeable and informative. He let us know what he was doing throughout the entire insolation process. After the install he went over everything very thurally and insured us that if we need anything to call him! Great job Generac!

We now enjoy the security of knowing that, come what may, we will no longer be "left in the dark" during bad weather or hurricanes. We have been considering this purchase for ten years, and are delighted that we finally had the whole-house generator installed.

Can't tell you enough how please we are with personal and professional attention that James Lundy and team gave us. We have needed the generator one time since installation and within one minute it was as if there was not any problem We used both televisions. had heat, washed clothes, cooked. It is wonderful. We have the 22kW Generac running the entire house. The system does its maintenance run automatically each week. Our first power outage lasted 43 hours. We checked the generator oil after 24 hours and it was fine so we turned it back on. Our propane consumption during that period was appriximately 0.8 gallons/hour. We were using the electric oven when the power went out and, while we could see the lights go down for an instant when oven element kicked on, overall the house power worked perfectly.
