Initially, I was excited to invest in this generator. Installed last year just before hurricane Zeta. Ran for 2 weeks, however, low oil pressure shut the unit down at least twice. No solution to excess oil usage from Comfort Engineering Systems, who did the install. This year during hurricane IDA outage, unit shut down for low oil pressure on several occasions and when I checked oil in advance of shut down it showed low oil. Over an 11 day period I had to add 14 quarts of oil. Comfort Engineering came out and performed all test to determine where the unit was using oil, but could not find any reason. Generac needs to contact me to resolve this issue, or replace the unit.

We live in a small town farming community. We have had high winds, fire and snow storms that have disrupted our power. The power company is usually pretty prompt getting service back on. The longest we have been without power in the last couple of years is about 9 hours. My husband is now on fully time oxygen and relies on power to run his concentrator. The generator is a safety net but most of all peace of mind for my husband.

unit came in latter than expected but when i got it already had the place to install..got it placed and all hooked up..test ran..ran quite and like its suppose to..am using NG for fuel..runs everything that needs power..fridge..computers..stove..all lights..if you want a good generator i suggest the 14kw like i have..thanks Generac

We live in Florida and don’t want to go for an extended period of time without Air Conditioning. This unit can handle our needs effortlessly. The unit is sleek and unobtrusive. It blends in with the pool equipment. The install and permit process took some time but was well worth the wait.

Spring Generator did an excellent job installing our 22kw whole house Generac generator. We were pleased with their company. However, when they first started the generator, the engine malfunctioned and blew a hole in the case blowing out the oil. The unit had to be removed and taken back to the shop. Generac took a few weeks to supply another engine to Spring Generator so they could re-assemble it. It is working fine now but will need to watch over time.

For years we have fought through Florida hurricanes and thunderstorms that knockout power for various periods of time. Now, finally, we have our whole-house Generac and couldn't be happier. Just having the peace of mind knowing we will never be without power is worth the investment.

Had been in the process to get a 22KW installed and then Ida hit. Power went out Sunday evening about 5:30 on 8/29. We were running the house on a 17.5 KW portable Generac but getting fuel had become an issue. Our dealer texted me the following Thursday AM about 6:30 and asked if we were still without power. I replied yes and they showed up a couple of hours later to install the unit. 5 hours later we were up and running. Everything went well until Sat AM when the unit shut down. I went to check it and the enclosure was full of oil that had leaked out of somewhere. I refilled it and got it running but it continued loosing oil. We got power back on Sunday evening. Unit now goes into over start shut down. Dealer came and did the first service but the unit still will not start and run. We suspect it has a bad circuit board so am waiting on that so we can get it started to find out where the oil is coming from. We suspect it is a rear seal since oil is coming from the exhaust end. Service tech also noted metal shavings in the oil. Bottom line is we are still without standby protection.

Works as advertised.. Power went off and a few seconds later the generator comes on and powers the entire house. We are able to run both our central AC units while simultaneously running the washer/dryer, two refrigerators, pool pump, and various lights, fans, T.V.'s, computers etc with no interruption..

We are so happy with our experience in purchasing a Generac computer. The salesman was excellent in reviewing all of our options and getting an order placed. The installers office was excellent in keeping us abreast of what was happening and when we would have our unit installed. The installation was seamless and were given very thorough instructions on the unit's operation. Cannot wait to try it under severe weather conditions.

Quality built product. The automatic start up and electrical switching is a smooth and painless process. Quiet operation. It performed perfectly in sub zero temps with the cold weather package. The green light is an easy check to verify that the unit is ready for operation. ..
