The auto tension works well and this is a good saw for pruning and delimbing trees. I would recommend using the 4 amp battery with it. The only real con I see in this saw is that the trigger lockout button that has to be depressed to get the saw going is on the left side of the handle. Which is fine if you are right handed but somewhat akward I would think if you are left handed.

I have 18 stairs with carpet runners and it’s a pain to keep them clean. My house vacuum doesn’t reach and a broom doesn’t cut it. I bought this chainsaw to do some small tree removal. Worked way beyond my expectations. I cut down over 50 trees from 2" - 8" in diameter, as well as several more logs that had been felled last year that I wished to trim back before having to recharge the battery. Cut quickly and easily through new and old.

I’ve purchased several Worx tools for yard work because they are lightweight and easy for me to handle. Other than the poor battery life, I have generally been pleased. This chainsaw is a dud. Leaks oil when not in use and sprays oil when in use. Customer service says it’s designed to leak oil. Suggested I add a tiny bit every time I use it then store it upside down. Chain flies off every couple of cuts unless the tension is manually adjusted. It actually makes a decent cut when it works, but it takes too long to do the job when you have to stop and put the chain back on over and over and clean up the flying and leaking oil.

I bought the 12" trimmer after seeing the commercial. I decided to give it a try. I was disappointed by the lack of power and the size of the string spools. In the commercial, they that they will also also throw in 6 extra string spools for life, NOT! Also, it only has 1 string not 2, compared to gas trimmers.

I purchase is to and use it for the first time two weeks ago. I was very impressed of disability to cut. I was not quite sure what to expect for a battery operated chainsaw. But I was surprisingly impressed by its cutting ability and it's light weight.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a smaller yard and after trims my yard. I also trim around the yard. I can get 2 plus trims and also edge my walks on 1 battery. About the only drawback is the ease of letting out trimming line.

I had a two to three year supply of branches and wood that had fallen from property trees that I couldn't cut for my wood stove. Within one hour I was able to cut into usable pieces. I started to look around my property and found a number of areas that I would be able to clear that I wasn't able to do for many years. I am so happy with this purchase.

It’s light, compact, easy to maneuver inside my Compact car, full size pickup truck yet powerful enough to handle jobs in my 40ft. Motor home. One powerful little machine with good battery live to get the job done. I like it so much, that I’m ordering one for my Son in California.
