Finally! Some decent tamales. The previous brand was tasteless. I’ve been buying these for quite some time in half dozen packs from Wholefoods. Happy to be able to buy them by the dozen!

These tamales were terrible. They are greasy, gritty, and fatty pieces throughout. Definitely not worth the price paid!!! We won’t be buying these ever again!!! Total waste of money!!! Bring back the old brand Sams used to carry.

These tamales are extremely greasy, they used ground pork, and the filling tastes like canned chili. I can't taste the masa at all. The brand Sam's had before were actually good. These I will not buy again.

The gristle, bone and whole spices are a no from me. For the price I would expect at least half way decent pork. The greasiness did not bother me and the flavor is good. I completely lost my appetite after biting bone and threw them out.

I love these Tamales!! Thank God they exist! Taste homemade without the hard work! I do make some enchilada sauce and drizzle on top, with little cheese🥰 #1 tamales!!

These tamales are fresh, tasty, and authentic! Easy to prepare and way to easy to eat! They are great for serving a crowd and we always have them at our holiday dinner table.

We loved these tamales. Yes, the meat is finely ground. The way it should be. You might find little pieces of vein, etc., it happens from time to time. Get over it or become a vegetarian. My mother is from Texas, where you’ll find some of the best tamales on earth. These are also made in Texas and my mother gave them rave reviews. Absolutely delicious and so easy to heat up. Just boil them right in the bag for about 20-25 minutes.

I grew up in Phoenix AZ a long time ago. Many of my closest friends were Hispanic. I was fortunate enough to have meals with them over the years. They were excellent and many times included tamales. These tamales remind me of those tamales- the real deal with real ingredients and an excellent flavor and very large. I live in Austin TX now and would go as far as saying that these tamales are superior to any of the tamales I have eaten in any restaurant here. So, they may have a little grizzle. This to me is an indication of authenticity which I would prefer over heavily processed ingredients. You ever eat a chicken without bones? Try them out. You know you can return food items to Sam's if you don't like them. And no I am not getting anything for this review. Just felt like they deserved it.

The tamales Sam's used to carry were good, packaged in husks, and could be thawed singly. These must be thawed 4 at a time and are packaged in plastic. Ugh! Most will be thrown out, as I live alone and don't want 4 meals in a row of these. Have not tried yet, but since they are not in husks, they cannot possibly be cooked correctly. I'll have to watch better in future, and not assume they haven't switched to inferior product.
