We absolutely LOVE Padrino tamales! ❤️They are so easy to use and are very delicious! I really like that there are three packs of four tamales in each box. That means my sweetie and I can just take out one pack for a meal. No waste! One extra benefit is they are not dry. Blot off any excess (we leave it!).

About 2 years ago Sam’s had great tamales! They brought in another brand which was gone in a month (not great). For the last year and a half they have this current brand. Disgusting. Greasy. Greasy. You folks who had rave reviews are either on the payroll and/or do not know what tamales are suppose to taste like like. There are different styles and flavors depending on the region but nowhere will you get a tamale as bad as these. REALLY BAD!

I liked the former brand and hoped these would be equally good. WRONG! I tried 2 of them. I can’t stomach the rest and they will be tossed. They were extremely greasy. They were filled with something like overcooked ground meat. Gritty would be the word. I like to give good reviews but I can only say: buyer beware!

My friend's 85 year old Grandma from Mexico made the best tamales I've ever had. Padrino tamales are the closest to my friend's Grandma period. No other tamale, whether store bought or in a restaurant, even comes close. I wish they had the habanero flavor available at the store!

I love tamales and I'm always willing to try any brand I can get my hands on. These are the best I have found so far. Pros: great taste, easy to prepare, good as a snack while watching a game. Cons: greasy as some reviews stated, some small hard seeds, not spicy enough. Bottom line, I can live with the cons, so I would buy them again. In fact I did.

they have a good flavor, bit greasy, very large, my biggest issue and it makes me want to give it less then 3 stars....these are pork tamales and in texas you can find them everywhere---here they are made smaller and there is never like bone splinters in the pork.....even when i make tamales i use pork shoulder/butt and ive never had splinters of anything in my tamlales----not sure if i want to eat the other 2 packs (fixed one of the packages and i boiled in the bag).

I loved the flavor of these and appreciated the hint of heat. However, the amount of grissle I found during my first two was a bit off putting. The texture of the pepper seeds? was not ideal but is probably what helped with the spice level. Overall I am glad I gave them a chance but would not buy again or recommend.

These are okay, but will not buy again. They are insanely greasy and have bits of hard...something in them. Overall flavor is not terrible, but definitely leaves something to be desired. It's more of a ground meat than it is pork. The masa does not seem like authentic masa you would get when you order a tamale. I wish Sam's would keep the great products they use to sell. The tamales they sold about 7 years ago were delicious. These, are not great.

These are tamales are convenient to heat and nicely-sized portions. The taste, however, is flavorless and disappointing. The pork filling is mealy, has lots of "bits" and gristle, and not recognizable as pork in texture or flavor. The masa has no flavor and is dry.

When I was a small girl in St.Louis, we had a tamale man who pushed his cart every Saturday selling his homemade tamales, they were so yummy! I have eaten many tamales in my 75 years, these were just like the tamales of my childhood, so yummy, please give them a try you are going to love them!
