I wanted to try these because making authentic tamales is a long process. Not a fan. They were so greasy and the pork filling was ground up like hamburger meat. I'm Mexican, so my review may seem a bit harsh. If you're not used to the real thing, then these might be ok for you.

Very good, easy to make

Easy and delicious. These are perfect for the build it at home combo plate. Add some red or green chile and you are back in the desert Southwest. A must in the freezer.

Flavorful!

Some of the most delicious tamales I've ever had. I recommend to take these out of the plastic packaging and pressure cook on high for about 20 min. They came out moist and flavorful. My family loved that these were ground pork rather than shredded pork.

Don't buy!

These are the worst tamales ever! And I've had many and make my own. 4 tamales and about a cup of grease in the bottom of the dish. The meat was like a dog food. My dog wouldn't even eat them. My kids wouldn't eat them. And we love a good tamale. These are straight up Nasty! I actually emailed the company to let them know these are unacceptable. If I was sams club I would pull this product out of stores. I have a bunch left over and I'm going to return what we didn't warm up!

Not tasty

I normally dont eat store tamales. These would be the 4th time I have tried a store tamale. I have a certain standard for tamales because Im used to eating the best which are homemade. I did not like the tasting of the tamales. However I did appreciate the chance to try them

Cheaper than fast food

These are legit tamales. Perfect balance of meat to masa and very flavorful. Yes, tamales are on the dry side so you need a sauce to top it off, recommend using an enchilada sauce after you remove the husk. My family is picky when it comes to precooked meals and all agree these are great. We also added a small amount of cheese and served with refried beans. Total cost to feed 5 adults was under $20 for dinner.
