In recent years, I've purchased these umbrellas three separate times at two umbrellas each time, so I currently own 6 of these 10' diameter, Sunbrella fabric, aluminum pole Finely made umbrellas. The crank and tilt mechanism is built strong and works very well without ever having a problem. It's also not heavy to crank so most shouldn't have any problems raising or lowering it. The two aluminum pole are made from a thicker guage aluminum compared to some of the other outdoor patio umbrellas at this price point or even more expensive. The support poles in the canopy support system are also of very high quality and aren't at all like the thin wood or that junk fiberglass that's on the market now (that they're trying to say is strong, (they're Not, it's a lie, they bend and fold up like chinese paper drink umbrella) The entire umbrella, from its lift system to its fabric (Sunbrella) is Top Notch, First Class. Don't waste your money either by falling for the claims that polyester umbrella covering lasts long and has good color retention. It's the biggest lie. It's thin like a personal umbrella and will fade out to some ugly color within the first year when your warranty is up. I've seen cheaply made polyester umbrellas on online sites that are smaller than these Sunbrella covered umbrellas for even 50% more, for crap. If you don't believe me look-up the price per/yd. for the Sunbrella fabric by name that's listed for the umbrella color you want, then look up the price of polyester by its gsm rating, if it's even worth selling. You may be asking why I'm so adamant about poly umbrellas, well it's because I trusted the online ads, bought four at this price point, a year after I bought my first two Sam's Club umbrellas, and I was so angry because they all went in the garbage by the end of our five month season here in PA, not even at the extreem exposure of AZ, FL, NV, or CA ultraviolet levels I will ONLY buy items that are made with Sunbrella which are used outdoors, whether it be umbrellas, patio furniture cushions, pillows, awnings, canopies, etc.. Their fabrics stand up to extreme sun exposure without fading or breaking down. The color retention is outstanding. Water just beads off of anything it's used on. One thing I do though recommend is annually wash your Sunbrella items with the approved cleaner, 303 Multi-Surface Cleaner then followed by 303 Fabric-Protector but NOT 303 Aerospace Protectant, that should be used on all of your outdoor metal and plastic surfaces. Follow these directions and your Sam's Club Sunbrella Umbrella will last you... well.... I'm at 14 years now with my first two umbrellas and they look like new !! Listen, one last word, these are the best and pretty much the largest size out there at this price. With COVID most suppliers have more than doubled the price of similar umbrellas but are smaller at only 9' in diameter and yes, that 1' makes a difference. The quality of these great umbrellas hasn't wavered since the first two I bought 14 years ago, I compared them and was pleased to see that they didn't "cheap out." I purchased this umbrella when Sam's had them in 11' but they have now dropped the size. But they are great umbrellas, I purchased the others 2 years ago and still using them. They do not fade, and they are great umbrellas. I checked at least 4 or 5 companies before I purchased. This was the very best umbrella and the best price. SUNBRELLA material cant be beat. If you will check prices against Sam's on sunbrella fabric, wind up, then tilt using wind up, you will see they are the best price around.

Member's Mark umbrellas do not disappoint. They are made to last, even if you forget to put them down during a thunderstorm. :) They do not fade, and we have not had any issues with the winding mechanism. This was our second umbrella and only replaced the first one because we weren't able to scrub the ends clean after many (5-10?) years. We purchased a darker color to maybe correct that situation.

I am loving this umbrella. I was searching for Sunbrella farbic because it is well known for it's high durability and long lasting strength and I found it at Sams for a very reasonable price! So far, it has been great! The color is wonderful (I got it in cast breeze), the feel is soft yet durable and size is perfect for our 48'' table. I also purchased 55 lb base which works fine with 60 lb table and 10'' umbrella. I am very pleased with the purchase!

We already had 10 of these umbrellas and when they went on sale for $30 off, we bought 6 more (we have a big yard)! They're Sunbrella, 10 feet, with great color options...need I say more?! I've read the reviews where they fall over or they break in the wind and I'll say 2 things: These umbrellas are big so you need a really heavy base (at least 60-75 pound base). Ours have been up in some pretty hefty winds and have fallen over but this is our fault, not the fault of the umbrella and they've never snapped in two. Common sense says put the shade down in wind and buy a good base and you should get many years out of these beauties!

I have 2 of these umbrellas and am very happy with the quality. I bought the most recent one in the color called Horizon which looks like a soft aqua on the website. However it is more like a sky blue or a chambray. I will keep it because I can't find an affordable aqua one

We bought our umbrella in June. I was somewhat skeptical based on the price and a few negative reviews. So far our experience has been terrific. Cranks up and down quite easily and I like the ability to tie it up when closed in the event heavy weather is in the forecast. Pole is sturdy and the size is pretty standard -- it fit through the opening in our deck table and also into the base I used with the prior umbrella. I am looking forward to easy storage during winter as the unit comes apart into two sections. This makes set up and take down a breeze. I highly recommend this umbrella.

I'm not sure how well this umbrella will last - it's a 10' supposedly with Sumbrella material. For the size the pole seems flimsy in gauge as opposed to our last umbrella. The material doesn't seem very thick (you can see the sun shine through it. I guess only time will tell how well it holds up since it's in the Florida sun. Sam's sold 9' umbrellas in the past which was what we wanted. Our friends bought a Sam's club umbrella a few years back and it still looks great and it also seems to be of better quality.

I bought this umbrella last year which we love purchased one this year and it is a completely different design made very poorly and cheap even went back to make sure it was the same purchase? Way to try to save money umbrella cost more but is very cheap compared to last years

Beautiful umbrella but it's made of aluminum and we had 1 windy day which bent the umbrella beyond repair. Also, the rope that lifted and lowered the umbrella was entwined inside the pole and we couldn't get the umbrella to lower to keep it from blowing away in the wind. I can't imagine how these are being sold for outdoor use. DONT BUY FOR AROUND YOUR POOL!!!
