The Windmill unit is beautiful to look at and easy to install. It cools down quickly and quietly. I couldn't be happier. Why can't more companies make beautiful, everyday objects. Customer service excellent, I had several questions prior to ordering and they were answered promptly and in a helpful way. Price is a little high, but when you factor in years of use and the beauty of the unit well worth it.

We weighed investing in a ductless system vs the windmill and ultimately decided for our needs, the windmill ac unit was perfect. We purchased the 8k btu with the whisper tech feature since this is for our second floor and is placed in our master bedroom. Our central AC just does not really work for the second floor. This unit Iexceeds our expectations. It was super easy to install, it’s very quiet and efficiently cools not just our second floor but, as a bonus, also our first floor. We have our central air set at 80 degrees and the downstairs temp reads anywhere from 70-75, depending on time of day and outside temp. The upstairs is super comfortable and while we have the windmill unit set at 75 (on eco), it consistently reads lower. To be fair, we have a brick house and great insulation. My husband says this is the sleekest window unit he’s ever seen and he’s right! It looks good on both sides. We definitely do not regret our decision to just get the windmill vs the ductless system.

Couldn’t believe it was on. The sound level is incredibly low and at its noisiest sounds like a light rain outside. I don’t have to use sound proof headphones to take phone calls anymore. It cools the room quickly, keeps it cool and is a complete life changer. So glad it’s now in my life!! Windmill rocks! Worth every penny.

Customer service is exceptional! As far as the product, I will review again after some time. I originally purchased a window unit and after two months it started malfunctioning like it had a mind of its own. Customer service was very responsive and made the process of shipping me a new unit it flawless. Here’s hoping the new unit does not malfunction.

I am the proud owner of the Windmill 8K with whisper tech. First the install was a breeze… everthing included in the box! I blends so well in the living room… Uber cool design. On the tech front, once plugged in and connected to WIFI… barely a couple of minutes… easier to use than an iPhone (which is so intuitive!) I have kept my unit on since I received it… I forget it’s on because it’s so quiet! I am so happy that I am getting another unit for our bedroom… want to be cool and need to be quiet to catch zzzzzz I am not paid by Windmill to comment… if a product is great … it has to be shared. Get one or more… you won’t regret it

Windmill ACs are incredibly easy to use, are really nice to look at, and very quiet. I have nothing but good things to say about Windmill. Plus, I needed to contact customer service about an issue and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was as it should be. Wonderful company.

I chose the Windmill 12k BTU over a cheaper, different brand 12k because of the direction of the airflow, and it's awesome and so worth it. It cools the room effectively without it being a jetstream of cold air in one direction (my window is nearly behind my couch, so past ACs have directed the blast at the back of my head). The first unit arrived and had a strange rattle in it, but we installed it anyway. Within a day it froze over with an inch of ice all over the insides. Contacted customer service and they responded super fast-- walked us through a few questions and quickly determined it was likely a damaged unit. Warrantee claim initiated, and a new unit arrived within a week. Honestly I couldn't believe how excellent the customer service was. If I need another unit for another room in my house, I'm going with Windmill because I know if any issues arise they will be taken care of promptly and efficiently. My only gripe is I wish there was a little more control within the app-- if set to "cool" the unit seems to keep cooling even as the room temp drops below the set value. It would be nice if it powered off and back on later, but maybe it switches to fan only and that's enough? It could be nice to link it with a different thermostat reading too, as it's interpretation of what temp the room is at seems a bit off when on eco or sitting idle. I imagine these things might get dialed in with some software updates. I'm also a big fan of actual buttons on the unit. If I can't find my phone I can still turn it on and choose settings and temps without any difficulty. All in all, love you guys. Great product, great company. Keep it up!

After years of using the standard AC window units, I wanted something more aesthetically pleasing, quieter, and more environmentally friendly. My Windmill AC is exactly what I wanted. Plus, it was easy to install and adjust the settings. I also like that the air blows up and around the unit, rather than in your face.

Recently purchased my second windmill AC—bought the 1st last summer and it was great, so we got a second one once our old one conked out. Had a taskrabbit install since they hang over the street, but it literally took 10-15 minutes to install. They’re pretty quiet, look really sleek, and cool our rooms quite quickly. Interested to see how long these guys last! Hopefully a long time.

I waited 3 years to get a Windmill AC! In 2020 I saw this amazing AC that would make sleeping in my bedroom in the summer month doable, this AC blew the air upwards, I was ready to buy but Windmill did not make a 10,000 BTU, I decided I was going to wait for them to make a 10,000BTU I endure my ancient AC for 3 years but it was worth the wait when my Windmill 10,000 AC was delivered on May 24 (thank you Maggie). This AC is beautiful, it comes with easy to understand directions, and all the accessories needed for installation, It also comes with a cute scissors to cut the cosmetic side panels to the correct size. I did need help to lift and place the AC in the window but the rest of the installation was a breeze, I turned my AC on and it was quiet. Thank you Windmill for making it easier for me to sleep comfortably in my bedroom this summer!
