I am extremely satisfied with the 6000 BTU Windmill unit that I bought this summer. It works in all of the ways I expected, looks nice, and was fairly easy to install. However, I am still not fully satisfied with the 8000 BTU with WhisperTech. The first unit I received cooled the room very well but had a defect that caused a very loud, annoying buzzing sound. Windmill replaced the unit (thank you). The replacement unit is much quieter and meets my expectations for "whispering." However, it does not cool as effectively and efficiently. I'm not sure I am going to keep it.

I just installed my second Windmill which is as good-looking and functional as the first. I love that the AC shoots the air up so it is not blowing directly on you but creates a flow of cool air that keeps the entire room pleasant. The support staff was knowledgeable, responsive and super nice.

They are used in an apartment in NYC. Crazy small windows. They installed easily, they look fantastic and they completely cool the aprartment. I say they as I installed 2. Very happy with the whole process, from ordering, delivery, installation and how they work.

I did experience some issues with the first unit. However, they did replace the faulty unit and solved my issues. Love the convenience of the mobile app and how quiet the AC is while running. Customer service was very helpful and listened to my concern.

This is a great nicely designed Air conditioner. Its quiet and does the job. Also it looks nice in the window and that's a bonus. Its also very easy to install! WIndmill has a great kit containing every thing you need including scissors! My favorite part is the connection to my google assistant, where I can ask google to turn the windmill on or off or set it a certain temp. I did contact customer support on a question, and they were great to work with a really helpful. Nice Air conditioner, Nice company. You won't be sorry if you buy one of these!!

After doing extensive research on Windmill, I am extremely happy with my purchase. All of the reviews from some of this country’s top publication rated Windmill very high. Compared to other air conditioners I have owned, Windmill is by far the best in relationship to noise level and ac output. I am very happy and fortunate I came across Windmill during my extensive research on window air conditioners.

Honestly, I was hoping that the windmill would be a step up from the AC I had prior, but I’m not convinced. The larger unit doesn’t do a great job of even cooling off my small bedroom and yet the dead of summer, so I’m thinking I’ll have to figure something else out.

For most people an AC is an AC. I find that the Windmill 350sf AC has all of the modern features I want and a pleasing design. But my favorite thing about purchasing from Windmill directly through their website is that they care. I had two issues that most people would typically describe as a negative experience, but the way they handled it was impressive. I felt like l was dealing with a person that cared about their job and their company. Their attention, attitude and response exceeded my expectations. I don’t know of a better company to do business with. The installation kit is one of the best I’ve seen. The unit was the best fitting window ac I’ve used. The pieces locked in better and the hardware was complete. If you’ve installed window AC’s before, you will appreciate how great this unit is. The solid, foam, trim panels that cover accordion baffles on the side of the unit can be trimmed (with the included scissors) for a sleek look, light diffusing, insulated zone. The rails for the accordion baffles have measurements on them so you know where to trim them. The app is great, the programming offers you many ways to control your cooling. It lets you see power consumption, operate it manually or pick from a variety of schedules. I’m happy to support Windmill and will share this experience with my friends. —- My only suggestion is to make the remote magnetic so that it can stick to the side of the case.

The Windmill AC was a life saver! Originally purchased in late June for my bedroom. Was perfect for keeping the temperature during the night. Fast forward… the AC in my condo died just days before my area experienced triple digit temperatures. The Windmill helped with keeping me comfortable. Then, it froze up. Windmill Customer Service resolved the problem within hours of receiving my email about the problem & shipped a replacement that same day. Great product! Great Customer Service!

Look, it works well, it’s aesthetically pleasing, but I find it hard to believe their marketing materials that claim it’s been re-engineered from the ground up. At least at the highest fan setting (and lowest temperature) it is as loud as any other window unit its size, at about 63-67 decibels depending on the app. Which makes it really overpriced. The only reason I’m not returning it is the logistical pain that would probably involve.
