I would buy these AC units again and again. We bought a 10K and a 6K for our apartment. The 10K is noticeably smaller and lighter than our previous 10K compressor unit, but don't let that fool you. It does a million times better job of cooling our apartment. They really were the easiest units to install. They run so quietly and only light up when you are adjusting the settings. My husband manages the temperature controls from the app and loves it!

The machine works wonderfully, it cools down my larger living room/dining room so well! However the "ease of install" is a bit deceptive for those of us in older homes. I didn't realize that I'd need to have extra pieces of wood to prop it in my windows UNTIL I opened the box and saw I was being directed to the support site for additional install instructions as I have storm windows. Along with needing to find small wood pieces to prop the front of the machine, the side panels left some gaping holes in the window from. Which, honestly, is fine as I'm used to having to add in some tape on other air conditioners. The unit works so well that I'm totally fine to overlook this, but having that information more upfront on the website would have left me more prepared.

Took the plunge and came across this modern AC after reviewing different models. It’s far quieter than the conventional older traditional air conditioners and I love that I can use the app or Alexa to turn it on & off. I will say, I did have to get someone to install the triangular outlet but the wait was worth it! Very happy with my purchase.

We weighed investing in a ductless system vs the windmill and ultimately decided for our needs, the windmill ac unit was perfect. We purchased the 8k btu with the whisper tech feature since this is for our second floor and is placed in our master bedroom. Our central AC just does not really work for the second floor. This unit Iexceeds our expectations. It was super easy to install, it’s very quiet and efficiently cools not just our second floor but, as a bonus, also our first floor. We have our central air set at 80 degrees and the downstairs temp reads anywhere from 70-75, depending on time of day and outside temp. The upstairs is super comfortable and while we have the windmill unit set at 75 (on eco), it consistently reads lower. To be fair, we have a brick house and great insulation. My husband says this is the sleekest window unit he’s ever seen and he’s right! It looks good on both sides. We definitely do not regret our decision to just get the windmill vs the ductless system.

You often find products these days that are upgrades of common things we know and love but are brilliant with their beautiful design and marketing and as a designer I'm a sucker for all of it so the Windmill ads caught my eye. Ultimately, I was intrigued by the selling points so we finally decided to get one and I was really hoping it would be the real deal. And it is, that's why we got another one! We love how sleek our Windmills look, how quiet they are, and how cooling they are. In fact the one in our living room also cools the hallway and kitchen that are connected via separate open doorways which is extremely impressive. Windmill helped us get professional installers, for our first unit in the living room, because we live on a busy street and needed to have a safety bracket installed. The professional installation was far from cheap but an A+ experience. We thought about doing a pro installation for the second AC unit in the bedroom but we decided not to because we didn't love that it would take away our choice to remove it in the off months. 99% chance we'll leave it in but we liked the idea of having the removal option since that room only has one window so doesn't otherwise have great ventilation and I love a good natural breeze. I was nervous about installing it ourselves but it was as easy as any other AC I've had if not easier given the well designed simple instructions. I don't normally write reviews but have been so impressed with the Windmill ACs we got this season and thought this info might be helpful for you if you're considering it. I highly recommend. I like the whisper 10k enough that I bought 2 units in 2 consecutive years. Great design and performance. Cooling is quiet and strong. Love remote. Only complaint is the temp showing in the room is not the actual temp on digital readout about 15-20 % of the time. I rely on thermometer in my room(s). -Not fond of AI tech support. Prefer real person all the time in email communique.

I just received my new Windmill AC unit and since we're probably through with the heat here in Oregon (hopefully) I asked a friend to help me put it in my storage closet until next year. I'm hoping it will make a difference in my 1-bedroom apartment. I'll be happy to do a review next summer. I'm looking forward to the quiet it promises. Thanks for what you do.

We purchased 4 of these units in 2021. Other than one having a weird issue and needing to be replaced, we have had nothing but a positive experience. They are aesthetically pleasing and work fairly efficiently. Would highly recommend to anybody needing a window AC unit.

My wife and I own a two-story 1926 bungalow. Our first floor is open from the living room, to dining room, to the kitchen. I needed a window unit that could effectively cool these three rooms with the help of a pedestal fan (800-900 sq. ft.) We purchased the 12K BTU WhisperTech™ which is rated for 550 sq. ft. This unit is nothing short of amazing. With the help of said pedestal fan to push the air throughout our first floor, we can keep the temperature around 73-74 on a 85+ degree day. The unit looks good in our space, isn't terribly loud, and was extremely easy to install. I would highly recommend Windmill to anyone in the market.

This AC is very sleek and quiet. When people are at my house they always ask about it. This is the second one l’ve purchased to replace old window units. I will continue to do that until all our upstairs window units are Windmill units. I highly recommend this AC.
