These individually packaged meals are very convenient for throwing in a bag to take for a lunch break at work. They heat quickly, taste very good, are generously portioned, and have large pieces of (white meat) chicken in them. If they only came with individual packets of soy sauce... That would be the only thing that could be better! Definitely recommend.

Some seem to like this product (or at least they did in the oldest reviews), but uggh. I tried the first package--the rice itself was mushy but edible-- but that overwhelming smoky smell and taste (I guess that is supposed to reflect the bacon, which may or may or may not be more than smoky flavoringl). The chicken seemed tender and fine, but that taste was nauseating to me. $10 down the drain. Never again.

I agree with some of the reviewers that the recipe and quality of products in this recipe has changed. One thing I noticed is the bacon used to be a good quality and tasted good with the rice. Now it is all pieces of fatty meat, that I would never put in my mouth. I used to buy this rice alot but now with the changes, I can take it or leave it.... mostly leaving it.

I've posted 2 pics from cooking it today. Bought it in Jan 2025. Giving 2 stars only because the taste and portions are decent, especially coming from a pre-made frozen pack. Be prepared to add your own meats/proteins, veggies, and whatnot to make it a "true meal". I bought this item for the chicken %26 veggies. Had I known beforehand what I discovered today, I would've passed up on this item and bought Vegetable Fried Rice instead and added everything else to the mix and maybe even paid less. Anyway, as a "Chicken" fried rice, this clearly isn't. IT'S MOSTLY BROWN RICE. Like 85% . As you can see from the pics, Chicken, Veggies, and Eggs are minimal. Maybe 15% -- if that much. I didn't see bacon but tasted it (though I did not buy this food for the bacon). I'll buy something else next time.

Very tasty. I cooked a cut up chicken tender first to add to the protein because my only other protein for the day was a couple eggs at breakfast. The skillet was already hot after cooking the chicken and the fried rice heated quickly. Added a little soy sauce.

They had this as a sampler a few weeks back and it was DELICIOUS! I saw they had used a little bit of vegetable oil when cooking it but before cooking it I noticed it said just to throw it in the pan. It was even better, mainly because it wasn't as oily. I made it along side some pot stickers. My fiance liked it so much I had to make another package, of the 6 in the box, for him. Definitely going to be buying this again!

Best Frozen bag fried rice ever tasted. Cook 3:30 min in microwave and its done and so delicious. Myself I do take out the peas..Other than that it just like buying it at restaurant. Would highly recommend anyone to try it at least once. You'll Love it ❤️

Wife and I have been buying this for several years. Haven't noticed much of a change except packaging size. I don't know what the directions say for cooking but I use one package only in a pan, preheat a heavy splash of olive oil, toss in the rice, and cover the pan. Med. to Med. High heat. Turn over once every few minutes just to keep it from getting too crunchy. It IS Fried Rice so it's supposed to be a little crunchy, but not through and through. Cook no more than about 10 minutes, or maybe a little less. Put it on a plate and add some bug juice (I prefer Kikkoman Soy Sauce). Personally, I love this as a side dish.

This chicken fried rice makes a complete meal. Just add soy sauce. I've eaten it alone for dinner many evenings. It's filling, flavorful and a real value for the money. Better than the chicken fried rice I've gotten from my favorite Chinese restaurant.

This fried rice used to taste much, much better when it was packaged in two large bags. It used to be one of our favorite items before the recipe changed. Now that the recipe has changed, the flavor profile is totally different and not near as good as before; it now comes in 6 smaller bags. We will not be taking this product home again. Sam's Club buyers: please ask Ajinomoto to go back to the original recipe and packaging.
