I bought this gate for my new granddaughter. Her parents have 2 dogs and 1 cat in the house and wanted to keep them out of her bedroom. This is the only gate we could find that was tall enough to keep the lab from trying to climb over. The latch is tricky when you carry her and try to put her down for a nap or to sleep at night. Takes time to get use to it.

Product met expectations, however it was installed at top of stairs with spindal posts, we zip tied one side due to the feeling if the baby pushed hard enough it would eventually give. Door opening is also a bit snug when carrying the child in one arm.

I bought this gate for my dogs (2 large labs and 1 mini pincher) The gate was very easy to install. At first I thought something was wrong because the gate would not lock (I needed to read the complete instructions). The gate is extra tall. The door is easy to open and close. My dogs are unable to jump over it. In researching this prouduct I found that Walmart beat all of the competitors pricing.

I have a two year old that gets into the fridge and we needed a tall gate that he couldn't climb over because he figured out how to open the fridge lock we bought and he climbed over the short gate that we had. I almost didn't buy this gate because of a few of the bad reviews, but I am so happy I did. Its not hard to install, it just take a little effort. I have plaster walls and it stays in just fine, so I would imagine putting it up in a wood framed doorway would be even better. Its easy enough to open with one hand and easy enough for my 5 year old to get through, but my two year old cannot figure it out-even after watching us do it.

This gate works well. It's tall enough that my 3 year olds can't climb over it even with a chair. I wish they couldn't open it, but at least my 19 month old can't open it. It's nice that it can be mounted too because my boys can push it over when it's pressure mounted.

I was looking for a gate that my 2-year-old couldn't get through or climb over. This gate did the trick! Pros: It can be opened with one hand if your constantly walking through it. If you lock it, you have to use two hands. It's tall enough to keep my kids and my lab/boxer in. The kids can't climb over it. And it's $20 cheaper than the one at Babies R Us. Cons:My 4-year-old did figure out how to open it. My 2-year-old can turn the pressure mounts herself - although most of the time she leaves them alone. I suggest not letting your kids watch you put it up! The walk through area is narrow than most gates, so I don't recommend it for larger adults. Overall - Very happy with this gate (I bought two of them). Good value and solid construction. Good price too :)

This gate is made of high quality materials and is very easy to use. I bought the gate to keep my dogs out of the living room and it working out great! I have a very small chiweenie and was worried about her getting through the openings between the bars but she is unable to as the bars are closer together than I originally thought. The price is well worth the value of this gate.

We bought this gate for 2 main reasons: 1~keep our very active 2 1/2 year old out of the Kitchen (so she dont hurt herself!!) & 2~ to keep our Lab/Huskey mix dog confined to the kitchen during meal times, when we are out for short times.... The gate is great height & my husband had no trouble putting it up. Only problem is that the gate opening to pass in/out is not very big, it could be a bit wider but the pluses outweigh that. It's easy to open, so small kids at some point will figure it out..Our dog so far has not even tryed to jump up on it. Good gate if your looking for something stronger, taller, & that will last longer than the cheapy plastic baby gates.

I've had three different gates before this one, and this is by far the most sturdy gate. Neither my kids nor my boxer can knock it over, and I really can open it with one hand. **I used different screws to install the gates because the screws included, I felt, were too short**
