My mother swore by Tide and I certainly know why! I have been using Tide for years and will use nothing else if possible. Over the years I intermittently used other brands thinking they would be just as good but none could compare. I don't have to buy any of the pre-treat stain removers...I simply spot treat with Tide liquid and let the garment sit 10 to 20 minutes before throwing it in the wash. It never fails. My clothes always come out cleaner than clean (as the saying goes). As for the Tide Plus Downy Sweet Dreams scent, it is the best scent Tide or Downy has ever had. I love the lavender vanilla smell, which is pleasant and calming but not overpowering. My laundry room smells wonderful while using this! I did think the scent seemed to lighten after drying my clothes in the dryer, but I have had people comment on how wonderful my clothes when I could not smell a thing. I also use the Bounce Sweet Dreams Dryer Sheets. Marvelous!

So I love the smell of the clothes, but I feel other brands clean my clothes better. It used to be my go to, but now it just seems pricey with not as much product and isn’t as effective as I’d like. But I still like to use it when I can, so I can’t say it’s a complete bust!

This detergent is good for everyday use and usually smells good, but I just switched to something else. Whenever I would wash my babies' bibs, they always still stunk, even after drying them in the dryer. I tried using more detergent, hotter water and washing a few times, but it couldn't get the smell out. Not sure why. It was good when I was just washing clothes, but not dirty bibs!

My favorite detergent. The scent is just beautiful and lingers on the clothes which is a plus for me. Plus it works very hard to keep white socks clean, so I know it's a high quality product. It's nice and thick for the pretreatment of stains. Also I don't always use fabric softner with it, so you could potentially offset the higher price by skipping softner.

I have to say the commercial for tide is really true. One year I was doing laundry at a laundromat and I always left my laundry detergent in the car so I wouldn’t forget it. I always bought tide with April fresh downy it’s my favorite smell. So through the winter the laundry detergent was always not frozen just a little thicker. Well I forgot to get new laundry detergent so I ran to the supermarket and grabbed Purex it was cheaper than the tide. Plus we always used it prior. The tide commercial always said that the leading brands were made half water half detergent. So when I went to do laundry the following week I couldn’t use the purex because it was frozen. My tide never froze from then on I will always by the expensive laundry detergent because it really works and is not full of water.

This is our “ go to” detergent. We love everything about it- it cleans thoroughly, smells great, and is gentle on clothes. We have found that this particular detergent improves the look of clothing- maybe it’s softener or just the overall quality of the product. We love the added touch of Downy..it’s enough to soften fabric without having to add a separate softener. You pay more for this detergent, but you get what you pay for- a quality detergent!

I love Tide laundry detergent and I love April fresh Downey fabric softener so this detergent is a no brainer for me. I started using it when my eldest son was in kindergarten (he’s 30 now) It was the only detergent that could remove every stain out of his clothes, If he had really tough grass stain , I would just smudge some tide directly on the stain as a pre treatment and without fail , every stain came out. In 25 years I’ve never wasted money on any pre treatment stain remover. Plus a little bit of it goes a very long way. So even though , it can be a bit pricey in other retail stores, I ONLY buy it at Walmart. Even when other retailers are having a huge sale, it still doesn’t come close to how Walmart has it priced everyday. Great product

I had purchased quite a few yrs ago. The lasted a long time and were made well. Since then I’ve lost close to 90 lbs. I decide to purchase the same size as I did before as I wasn’t drying them and I thought if I got them big I could dry them. I tried on a pair and could barely get them on. They were too tight. Exact same underwear brand and size! They were made cheaply, a lot thinner material and the elastic looked cheap.

I love the detergent But evidently when the person put the package on my porch they just tossed it and it leaked all in the box. out was packaged in a plastic bag, inside a box with cushioning to keep it sturdy, that's how I know it was tossed. also be evidence of the amount that leaked out, it only started leaking after it was thrown on the porch. I really wish the person delivering would have not been so careless and rough with the package. oh, the box was labeled "liquid" so the driver had to know it was possible it would leak.
