These products will now contain some added MSG or monosodium glutamate. As a natural flavor enhancer, MSG helps amplify the perception of salt with far lesser sodium, while also providing a savory, umami element to a dish. We reintroduced MSG to our Knorr Sides products to help reduce salt to support a healthier diet while maintaining the flavor that you love and expect from Knorr - these changes also address the recent FDA guidance on voluntary sodium reduction in packaged & prepared products.
