Much better than my expectations one of the boards and shipment got damaged customer service was so excellent to deal with they had my new part here in 2 days my only complaint is I have to put it together by myself which has no influence on the company LOL The instructions to put it together were on point all the hose lined up I would definitely purchase another one if I need it to in the future.... LOVE IT.... I've gotten so many compliments on how beautiful it is from my neighbors which it is has added value to my home

It adds an entire outdoor living area and so much charm to backyard! We put the plastic sheets over the top so we love to sit outside when it's raining! Highly recommend this pergola!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased and put together all on my own this spring 2023, NO missing parts, extra hardware and tools included, simple directions (if you like legos - this is a snap). Overall very solid, I pre coated everything with wood sealer prior to assembly. The corbels were a bit tricky to line up with the pre drill positions but a few 36" wood clamps fixed that simple enough. Nothing but compliments from friends and neighbors.

Pros: Great wood, durable hardware, good design. Very solid. Extra hardware. Cons: Plastic caps on top of four set posts leave 1/8" gap so that brace boards are unable to have bolds and nuts be threaded through - too much space. We tried cutting some of the edges and ultimately discarded the caps. Instructions not detailed enough to explain that two of four brace boards have a row of holes along their top (for the lattice) and need to be placed on outside of the two that lack holes. Probably should have had an extra page in the instructions for this or give the boards with holes a separate number. Neutral: Plastic base plates too flimsy for Florida hurricanes. We used steal base plates that worked well. Interior of set post are not solid cedar, but ripped pine 2x4s. However, cedar overlay done very well - looks like solid cedar. Wish the brace boards were 14' long w/o extensions, but shorter boards with extensions seems to work. Really need three people for this construction, not two.

Kit is well thought out. The wood is not so good. I have had some punkie spots in the legs and there is signs of cracking now starting to show up after one winter season here in Michigan. Over all its ok but I don't know how long it will last. To bad the wood is not from North America.

I wish I had looked into getting one of these sooner. I debated on whether to pay for assembly or not and went without, and it was not hard for my husband and I to assemble it ourselves. Now we and our whole family spend a lot of time out there. We do game nights, meals, hanging out. I was a bit worried about it during some storms but it wasn’t impacted at all.

We bought a 12x14 gazebo and two 12x14 pergolas to occupy our new concrete patio. We have always loved the ambiance of this look and finally found a quality product! We first sealed all of the wood. My husband built the gazebo in two days, the first pergola in 8 hours and the second pergola in six hours. The key was using two a-frame extension ladders. We’re thrilled with the finished project!!!

I bought this a year ago, May of 2020. All pieces were included and well marked. Based on other reviews we put a clear oil based seal on before putting the pergola together - based on 1 year in use we will likely add another coat this summer. It still looks good but to continue to preserve the wood we will add another coat. This definitely requires 2 people to put it together and sometimes it would have been helpful to have 3 people. I would purchase it again - it's been a nice addition to the patio and provides some shade.

I've had the pergola built for about 2 months now and absolutely love it. Its sturdy and heavy but also easy-ish to put together. Realistically you should have at least two people building one pergola. I would budget about 5 hours with two people to put it together completely. Overall great pergola, very happy with the purchase!

Just got this erected last week and couldn’t be happier. I had someone do the installation, but it was fast and had all the parts/good instructions. My carpenter said he could not have bought the lumber for this price and I saved a bunch on labor since all the wood is pre-cut. I do recommend sealing it before putting it up to avoid having to contort on a ladder. Now if my furniture would just arrive!
