Not enough filling

they're really tasty, but watch out for cherry pits, my son broke a tooth and had to have a root canal for the cracked tooth

The turnovers at this particular club are terrible. Shortening-heavy crust, should be using butter. There was possibly a tablespoon's worth of fruit inside all of them. A proper turnover should be buttery and full of fruit. If you enjoy huge pieces of shortening flake bread these are for you!

I don't generally leave reviews but I'm tired of throwing money away on overdone croissants that are almost burned. So like a fool, I bought these for my husband and to our surprise, there might have been 1 Teaspoon of filling in these! I am NOT kidding. My poor old husband kept taking bites looking for the filling and there it was, in the far end, last bite! How can you advertise that these are cherry OR apple and not put any filling in? Is this how you save money? We will NOT buy anything from the bakery again, this is the last straw. This is ridiculous!

I purchased cherry turnovers from the bakery area. The pastry is really good, but there was very little cherry filling in them. Left me very disappointed.

The taste was great, however the filling was lacking. For as large as the pastry is the filling was maybe a tablespoon in the center, a whole lot of crust to get to that filling.

Every time I go to Sam's, I always buy one or two containers of the cherry turnovers. They're not overly sweet (like other brands are), and I admittedly can eat two at a time. I typically heat them up in the microwave for about 20 seconds, and they still are flaky. Pop them in an air fryer or toaster oven for a flakier outer layer. These are my favorite breakfast pastries ever!

These turnovers were disappointing. The laminated or phyllo layers of dough were numerous, however when you lift up the fold over part - the dough underneath is still raw and uncooked. Also while trying to cut through the turnovers with a standard paring knife - I found it difficult to cut through the bottom - which also seemed not well cooked. I thought I could somehow salvage them, by opening them up and baking more in the oven, but gave up. Also the amount of cherry jam or preserves in the bottom layer, was not what I would expect. I regret leaving a negative rating - but at almost $5.00 for this set of 8 - I will not be buying them again.

I got home with these and couldn't wait to have a couple of them for dessert. I was quite surprised when I opened the lid and picked one up how soggy they are! They look crispy in the package. It'd cost as much in gas to go return them, so into the garbage they go. Won't be buying them again.

Bought 4 Cherry & 2 Apple Ate one in the parking lot Super good just a gelled filling bur so good.(I love the cherry ones ) fresh and sweet. Try walking in the store to get them.
