We have canned over 250lbs of potatoes in the last 2 weeks and this peeler is great. It peeled big ones and small, even potatoes that were funny shaped. It saved me so much time and we aren't done canning yet. I can't wait to try it on apples!!!! Its a great price for all the work it does!!!

Perfect. I wanted to give this unit a workout before commenting. I have had no problems with this device. I did however see in the instructions it mentions peeling oranges. I'm not even going to try it. a genius is NOT required to realize oranges would be pushing all limits.

I didn't expect much with an inexpensive simple design, but was very impressed. I peeled about 60 potatoes so far, and it does a great job. It doesn't do the top and bottom edge so you still need a potato peeler. It is quick and does 80% of the work. It's a real time saver and takes the chore out of peeling potatoes. Love it so far.

I was so excited to finally get 1 of these because it is so hard on my hands to peel potatoes anymore or apples for my grandkids. I read all the directions did everything it said to do. Put an apple on it, it was working great, then halfway through something broke inside and it quit working. Now I am leery about getting another one.

At first, my husband and I were both skeptical that this product would work up to our expectations but we figured for $20 it was worth a try. We were surprisingly amazed and impressed how well it functioned. It was fast and easy. It didn't hit all the spots and there were a few that I had to strip off by hand but, hey ... NO COMPLAINTS!! This gadget really saved us so much time. Next thing I know, I turned around and he was done peeling about twenty apples and a dozen potatoes in about as many minutes. So it was my turn to take over and finish up with canning the apples, and making dinner with the potatoes. Also I have to add that I usually don't bother with surveys, reviews, etc but I just had to add my 2 cents on here. The kids even joke that it was the best $20 we ever spent...so true!!! :)

I have the manual model and this electric model is not any faster. That was a little disappointing. It looks like they use the same blades, which is good. I have lots of blades still. Be sure to seat the potato firmly on the bottom pegs to keep it secure while it rotates.

So I bought this item for personal use based off the picture and the description. Its easy enough to assemble and operate but it does not peel the potatoes (or apples, etc) like the picture shows. Even if I run it two times I have to basically peel the rest of the skin off with a hand peeler. This defeated the purpose of me buying this!

I absolutely absolutely love this. It is lightweight very easy to use very convenient. The price is excellent for the product however, in the future, I would like to have one made of thicker plastic sturdy material and I know I would have to pay more for it, but that’s OK too.

seems fragile, but it does the job. dont be afraid of it and push the prones down into the potatoe tight. squeeze the handle for the blade to slide it back to top and push start. can walk away then. it's capable of the job. i got this for those big family meals when i have to peel many. so i can do other things in the kitchen while reloading this thing. awesome.

this works Fabulous on basic white potatoes. so fast .so efficient. I just have to hand peel the enda and the occasional eye. i tried kn sweet potatoes which have a much higher water content and typically "feel wet" on the outside skin. it struggled and skipped areas. If I had drier sweet potato skins I am sure it would work better
