This item is even much better than I thought it would be . I even cleaned the peelings after I was done then deep-fat fried them. Only thing that went to waste was the tips of both ends. I am 74 years old and peeling is getting hard for me. This is so easy to operate and clean. I am thinking about ordering another one for backup incase this one quits working....

This potato peeler works great for my husband and I who both have disabilities affecting the use of our hands. I can easily use it even with my diminished hand strength because the peeler only requires a small amount of strength to push the potatoes onto the plastic prongs and pull it back off when finished. My husband has use of only one hand and can also use the peeler. a small amount of peel is left at each end that can be easily sliced off with a knife. We have peeled large and small, as well as different shapes, of potatoes and it's worked great for all of them.

I got this for my wife after I watched the You Tube video on this item and it works really well but you have to understand you aren't going to get all perfect potatoes and it will skip on the indented parts of the potato but otherwise it saves you a lot of peeling and you have to peel the top and bottom part that holds the potato and great gifts .she loves it ..

amazing gizmo. whistles through a tater in no time, pretty well unfazed by irregular shapes. peels thin, no wasted potato. takes seconds to load. cuts a long continuous potato skin ribbon that can be fried or otherwise turned into an appetizer. fun inexpensive gift.

It's SUPER unclear where the heck the blade is at. I didn't even get the bubble wrap all the way off before I had a deep slice in my finger that should probably get a stitch, but I haven't been able to look at it since I finally got it to stop bleeding. THERE SHOULD BE A COVER FOR THE BLADE PIECE. Yes, after I got the bubble wrap off and the instruction book out, there were a couple of warnings to DO NOT TOUCH THE BLADE. Yeah. Got it the hard way. Any item that can slice you open just getting it out of the box and the bubble wrap pulled off is NOT SAFELY PACKAGED. It took me a few minutes of extraordinarily carefully looking for the actual blade to even find it. The blade unit needs to come off every time to rinse it off. I'm terrified I will inadvertently connect my finger again with the blade when I rinse or put away the item. AGAIN. The item needs better protection for not only unpacking it, but for storing and retrieval. It needs some kind of hood or plastic cup that fits over the entire red blade part. You should not be able to slice a finger open just trying to get the bubble wrap off! !!!!!!! I gave this item 3 stars because it actually works really well for the purpose it was intended. Fast and thorough. I tried mishapen red potatoes. The Starfrit Rotato took off all the peel except the very tops and bottoms, and the indents near the tops of some potatoes.

First let me say that Im neither paid,nor any incentives for my HONEST opinion here...... I LOVE,LOVE this potato peeler,it has made doing potatoes a breeze! I do have to cut the top %26 bottom peelings off,but sooo what,I dont have to do the whole potato!👏👏 You better grab this while you can %26 its on sale because you WILL thank me later! My mom %26 aunt gort them one after seeing mine in action, it's AWESOME!

I am very happy with this purchase. I have tried it out on potatoes and apples and it peels them super quick. So much so that I peeled 5 lbs. of apples and then had to think of creative ways in which to use them! I love how the peel comes off in one long strand. I kept "peeling" a potato and turned it into some really good "curly cue" fries. I think I will be using this gadget quite a bit.
