[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easily to open box. It is quite flavorful and mix of berries with a hint of woodsy flavor. I do feel like this wine was a little on the dryer side but still very good. It is definitely just a sipping wine.

I really like the idea that I don’t have to worry about a bottle going bad, also this is great for a party! This has medium tannins and is smooth and fruit forward.

My husband likes sweeter white wine and very rarely can I convince him to try a dry red. The Night Hawk Black: Bourbon Barrel Cabernet Sauvignon is a perfectly agreeable wine for us both. It’s very smooth, lightly smoky with rich caramel notes and finishes with chocolate and dark cherry hints. The smoky tones are a welcome addition to the wine and really bring out more complexity. This is a great choice if you are looking for a Cabernet Sauvignon or any red for that matter.

My husband even liked it too and he typically only likes Pinot noir. It does have a faint bourbon barrel note, but I enjoy the overall complexity of it most. It’s not super smooth, but it goes with many dishes and is also good on its own.

The product that I chose was the Bota Box Nighthawk Black Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon because I like the taste of bourbon as well as the flavors in wine. I was pleasantly surprised that the bourbon flavor did not overwhelm the wine flavor and I was able to taste both, but I was glad I could taste the wine more than the bourbon. The packaging is easy to use with very little mess and is able to be stored easily in the fridge after opening without taking up too much space. This item will definitely be added to my rotation of weekend beverages.

It often features flavors of black currant, plum. Bordeaux blends provide robust wines with aging potential, just like this easily stackable wine. It puts boxed wines to shame!

Ummmmm yeah so I .not actually even sure what to say other than ... Dumb Good. I totally dig the depth and flavor of this wine. So much so that when my wine snob (love her though) aunt came into town for a visit I put this in a decanter to serve it for the first time. She liked it sooooo much. When I revealed it was from a box she was legit thrown. For the remainder of her visit we proceeded to drink this bourbon barrel cab right from the box. No disguise needed. Oh ... and when she got home she bought a box and served it in a decanter to her wine snob (love him too) hubs for the first time. Now he digs it so much he also no longer needs the decanter disguise. Cheers Bota! You deserve a raise (of the glass) (and in your paycheck)!
