The first thing you notice is the anemic pale color compared to the golden original homestyle. Next you smell the extra sweetness. When you bite, the crisp texture is gone and replaced by mushy texture that hardens too much if you try to get it to the old way. What was once a nice breakfast or snack has become compromised into something hard to eat. Only those who are adults now can tell what is lacking. The kids dint know what they are missing.

I have eaten eggos my whole life and the Homestyle is my favorite. You can eat them for breakfast or just as an evening snack. You can eat them plain, with syrup, or the way I like with melted butter and a small spoon of confectioner sugar. They are the best!! Just pop them in the toaster or toaster oven and in 2 minutes or left you have yummy perfection!!

I bought a box of the waffles to have around for breakfast (I used to keep several boxes in the freezer). The waffles don’t toast like they should they burn in the hole and the rest of the waffle doesn’t toast,they don’t have any taste and cutting them with a fork is like cutting rubber .. I will not buy eggos   again

I bought 3 boxes from different stores several months ago because they tasted awful and not like my regular waffles I’ve eaten my whole life. I thought my tastebuds were off or they were freezer burned- they don’t even look the same after you toast them. If you want a new recipe make a whole new waffle and leave what the consumer likes alone. I googled Eggo waffles are nasty in a whim because I miss them- and found this page….

We have always loved Eggo waffles, but I honestly would hesitate to open the pack because it was so hard to close and keep from getting freezer burn. Now, with these resealable tapes, there is no hesitation! They are hassle-free and keep the waffles fresh. Great change!!

The waffles didn’t get as browned as I would have liked but like I said my son liked them and they are a quick breakfast on a busy morning. They were great paired with maple syrup!

The Eggos have no taste anymore! They use to smell great and taste delicious, now you the eggs have no flavor, and you can't even smell them when their toasted. They are Plane Jane! And a wast of my money! I always bought them before, not no more!

I ate Homestyle eggos for years when I wouldn't have considered buying any other frozen waffle. Perfect taste and texture. But then Kelloggs doubled the amount of sugar. BOO!!! Now it's much too sweet for my taste, even if I eat them without syrup. If I want a sugar bomb, I'll have a cookie or a poptart
