Since everyone else was talking about their outstanding and treasured history with eggo waffles, I will begin my review by talking about how when I was a kid I first encounter eggo waffles with their lego eggo waffle promotion. In my opinion the lego waffles just taste better. But enough about me, back to the waffles, I have not lived in America in many years, so my experience with eggo waffles are obviously imported or made elsewhere, and I have continued to enjoy them over these years. However, just recently moving to America I have purchased my first ever box of 24 waffles, and after consuming 10 of them and being grossed out by how sweet they are, I finally googled the issue to see if it's an American Eggo waffle thing or if I got a bad batch. It seems this taste is consistent with what the rest of consumers have been getting, and it seems that all of this started just about a year ago unfortunately. I have to say I am disappointed and sad that the waffles are so disgustingly sweet, I will give the buttermilk waffles a try, but I always preferred these. Please consider changing as it seems many out there agree with me.

I bought a box of the waffles to have around for breakfast (I used to keep several boxes in the freezer). The waffles don’t toast like they should they burn in the hole and the rest of the waffle doesn’t toast, they don’t have any taste and cutting them with a fork is like cutting rubber .. I will not buy eggos   again

I have eaten eggos my whole life and the Homestyle is my favorite. You can eat them for breakfast or just as an evening snack. You can eat them plain, with syrup, or the way I like with melted butter and a small spoon of confectioner sugar. They are the best!! Just pop them in the toaster or toaster oven and in 2 minutes or left you have yummy perfection!!

What happened to the delicious flavor of egos? I hadn’t had them for a while because I was on the keto diet but now that I’m off I went to one of my favorite foods for carb comfort. It tasted nearly unrecognizable. The egos now taste too sweet with a hint of syrupy flavor. I hate syrup, if I wanted it, I would put it on top of my egos. I thought it was just me or that maybe there was an “original” vs “home style” recipe... but nope, the recipe changed. Please bring back the regular flavor I (and apparently others) once loved!

I am a mother of 3 young children. They absolutely LOVE Eggo waffles. They are a staple to their daily diet and look forward to breakfast for them. Whether they eat the plain, with butter, syrup or Nutella, Eggo waffles are a must have in our household at all times!

Our family has been eating Eggo Waffles Homestyle for 30 years. My husband and son are very disappointed in the recipe change that seems to have more of a vanilla taste. Please bring back the old recipe! They were perfect the way they were and now we will be searching for a new quick breakfast waffle for us because nobody likes the new version.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never seen a Star Wars movie and I probably never will. Just thought I'd add that in here to take up space lol. I like my Eggo's plain or with a little bit of sweetened condensed milk at anytime of the day. They're convenient and easy to make.

After decades of enjoying Eggos, I just threw the box I recently bought in the trash and am saying goodbye. Did Kellogg actually think people (like me) weren't going to notice. They're no longer yellow, they're white; they barely brown in the toaster unless you toast them for twice as long as the originals; and they no longer taste like egg, they taste like syrup, butter and paper.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids love these! Whether it’s a quick breakfast on the go or waffles and ice cream for dessert, they absolutely love these fun Star Wars waffles. This review was incentivized but my opinions are my own.

As a senior a whole waffle from a waffle iron is just too much. These like your pancakes make life so easy. Also in the summer I skip the syrup and add a scoop of vanilla ice cream. My Dad loved to do this and I like to hold that tradition near and dear to my heart.
