Room temperature and Cold are the exact same temperature. I expect my water to be ice cold and not have to put ice in it. That's why I bought this. It has the best reviews on Sam's website. So this is why I bought it. My previous cooler was over 25 years old, and it kept our water ice cold. But it stopped working. I don't know if I'm expecting too much, but I want ice cold water!!

Good product

We bought this machine about 3 years ago. It worked well until about 2 months ago. It started freezing up and the cold water line stopped completely. As of this week, the hot water line no longer works, either. After some online investigation, we found this is very common to this machine. Replacement parts are near impossible to locate, and the website for Avalon recommended we just replace the machine. I regret buying a dispenser that only lasted three years with no option of repair to the components to make it last longer.

Worked well for a little while

I need to get a water dispenser that the button were up top. I watch my 1yr old & 3 yr grandsons. They kept pushing the cool water buttons & flooding our hardwood floors. The button are out of reach from little hands. This cooler also comes with room temperature water which is great for kids and not too cold.
