over ripe not good

They were a little green so I set it out for two days. Decided to cut them and they were rancid. Just like the plums, within 2 days we had to throw them in the trash. Potatoes within 3 days they had started sprouting. Even the bananas turned black within a couple of days. And I picked the greener bananas. We can’t trust the fruits or vegetables at Sam’s

Ordered online and this beyond ripe melon was picked up by whomever did my shopping. I love the online shopping experience and the drive up delivery, but sometimes the produce they choose is subpar. I'd ordered grapes also, but they were not even included. Got a refund for that. I ended up tossing the cantaloupe. Sams needs to make sure their produce is ready for purchase, and not going bad.

When I got these (2) they were no where near ripe. I threw the first one out. It was hard as a rock and not edible. I left the second one on the counter to ripen. When I finally cut that one open it was pithy. Had to throw it away also. This was the 2nd time I've ordered them thinking the first time was a fluke. I won't be ordeting them a 3rd time.

Should have been rated less than zero. The size for the price was great. What was bad was due to errors on the Sams Club shopper and the person putting it in my car. When removing it from my car I immediately saw dark bruise marks and puncture marks. I tried to pick it up and my thumb went right through a soft spot. I called to complain and request a refund and was told I had to bring it back for credit. That would have been an approximate 30 mile round trip for me. Not worth the $2.98 refund to do that. But then, is my upgraded Sams Club membership and the money I spend each month in the store? I will have to decide. Not a good way for Sams to conduct customer service, in my opinion.

Every so often I will buy one of these Legend Brand Cantaloupe and I can say for sure the quality is consistent. They are always picked green and the texture inside is like rubber. The absolute worst tasting melons on the market. I thought I might have found a couple in the club that was actually ripe but it confirmed they were picked green and sat in cold storage for a month or two before being shipped to Sam's Club. If people would stop buying this Legend garbage, they might go out of business and someone might come along that would grow something you could actually eat instead of something to put in the dumpster. Do not buy! Let it rot in the club so the Sam's buyers stop buying it!

The normal fruit quality that I’ve enjoyed for years at Sam’s has become hit and miss lately. At our local Sam’s the displays of fruit are littered with open packs of berries and fruit. The cantaloupe I’m reviewing was tossed after carving, it had no flavor. I’m rather good at picking ripe fruit, including melons. I have stopped purchasing such at Sam’s for the moment. Did Sam’s change buyers?
