They are an integral part of heart health if you take a statin (which I do).. My total cholesterol is below normal. My good cholesterol should be a bit higher but I am satisfied where it currently is. .

We were lucky she got to the hospital quickly and she received two stents with very little damage to her heart. I have atrilel fib for the past 15 or more years. We feel that CoQ10 gives heart protection and increased energy. Plus, we both take statins so we feel that overall CoQ10 is great for us.

Some years later Kanska Ubiquinol was introduced by Life extension. The evidence presented by its manufacturer, Kanaka, was very convincing compared to coq10. Absorption was a problem at that time and much of the research was in early stages as there was no easily available and inexpensive test for blood levels of coq10, as there is today. Qunol Ubiquinol, by its oil and water soluablity, was abd remains a great step forward. I look forward to the day that Qunol is able to introduce a form of Ubiquinol that is as easily absorbed by mitochondria as Qunol Ubiquinol is absorbed outside the mitochondria. This a thorny problem as I understand it because mitochondrial chemistry is largely based on manganese. Qunol Ubiquinol is an important part of an aging intervention protocol as described by Dr. Denham Harman's free radical theory of aging, a theory now considered proven. Dr. Harman also originated the Mitochondrial Theory of Aging. It is important to understand both in order to select appropriate supplements to implement an effective strategy of prevention. Qunol Ubiquinol should be part of any such strategy.

Sometimes, prior to taking CoQ10, I would get to the office, then realize I left something home. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been taking this product for awhile and sometimes with herbal supplements you really are not certain if they are working or you just want them to work so psyche yourself up that they are working. I moved from FL to KY and I ran out of these vitamins during the 2 weeks packing, the travel time, the two weeks or more unpacking and began to notice my blood pressure getting to be a concern and a flutter in my heart now and then. I did not realize yet what vitamins I was needing to replace. When I found out it was the Quinol I got some immediately. Soon my blood pressure was normal and my heart was strong. I am also vegetarian so finding something without animal by-products was difficult. The only thing in Qunol is Gelatin and even though I hate having that to take I have yet to find a replacement that has nothing animal in it but when I do I will try that product.

With an arterial valve transplant I am always concerned that I have the best vitamin and mineral intake to work in conjunction with my set of heart meds. Qunol is the best.
