This is by far the best value, I've found, for the price! Our visiting Cardinals, BlueJays, Carolina Wrens, Finches, Tufted Titmouse, Chickadees, Doves, Flicker Woodpeckers and the tiny Downy Woodpecker... and more,

We have many small birds that use our feeders and this seed has been a bird’s favorite mix… the cardinals are eating the black sunflower seed and the Carolina wrens, chickadees and other small birds are very happy with the smaller seed.

I can't say why, but the birds are just not eating it. They only pick out the visible sunflower seeds, and leave the rest setting in the feeder. I keep shaking out the seeds left in the bowl.

Great value and product. The content can vary, but is a great value for the price. Some batches have some small Sri ms and debris. Less than 1% non-seed/nut. Again, a good value for the price.

Our wild birds of all kinds love the seeds; red headed house finches, cardinals, sparrows, some sort of smaller blackish birds, white winged doves, chickadees, mockingbird, wrens and even rede headed wood birds.

Great product at a great price. However I don’t think they sell it anymore??? They are substituting a cheaper product at a higher price when I try to reorder???

I did something bad..got lazy and didn’t pickup my bird food from Sam’s, instead I bought a small bag of seed from my local grocery store! My birds hated it! They actually picked through it to find some edible seeds! It contained mainly cracked corn which the birds hated! Next day, I made my way to Sam’s, got my Pennington Bird Food, compared it to the cheap food...Oh! My! Goodness! The quality of Pennington was amazing! Never again will I go cheap! Our deer love it too! So much so, we had to get them their own pan of food so they could stop emptying our bird feeders! Don’t waste your money on anything else!

I continue to purchase Pennington’s Wild Bird food at Sam’s and to serve it in our backyard feeders because, of the options available — not only at Sam’s but other retail outlets, it’s always fresh and tasty enough that the bird population in our backyard seems to increase by 20-30%!! The variety of birds also seems to change when I feed our feathered friends Pennington’s and that’s ok too. The only unresolved issue is this also increases the number of visits by the neighborhood hawk as it looks for it’s fair share of “booty.” My only hope is that he sees the mice sooner than the birds and thereby takes care of other ‘visitors’ who seem to enjoy Pennington’s! I haven’t found any creature that hasn’t enjoyed Pennington’s!... squirrels included!

The birds really like this birdseed but my lawn looks horrible from whatever is mixed in with the feed. There is wild grass growing all over the stones under the feeders and in my regular lawn. Have even feeding birds for decades and never have I had this type of growth!! Will not be purchasing this item again.

I live near a waterway and there are a few mama ducks who have babies running around and they love this seed. In fact, they love so much that I have opened my front door to have then waiting for me to feed them or to have them follow me to my apartment when they see me walking my dog. On behalf of the ducks, I give this 2 thumbs up!
