I purchased an original generator in February through Home Depot. After getting the generator delivered it was found to have significant shipping damage. We contacted the GE Customer service line and was offered replacement parts or that they would work with Home Depot to replace the machine. This is the replacement which arrived in less than 3 weeks from the original purchase. This generator was delivered in very good condition. Assembly was easy and straight forward. At this time it runs well on a test and seems to be what we were looking for. Intended use is for backup power to our home since we experience frequent outages during rough weather.

This 9,500 watt generator provides power to all my appliances, including central AC, which is great because I wasn't sure about the AC. It won't power the two 7,500 watt elements in my heating system, but I didn't expect it to and have propane heating in my house for that.

After spending hours researching available generators in this output capacity, including talking to service centers to see what models they had fewest repairs on, I went with the Westinghouse WGen9500. I installed a 50 amp plug with a 60 amp breaker and made up a 30' dual 50 amp male plug cable. I also added a receptical for the battery tender and the little garage compressor. After a few minutes installing the wheels, rubber feet, adding oil, 93 octane fuel, and plugging in the battery tender for a few minutes (battery came right up to storage mode) I wheeled it outside to start it up. It hardly turned over before starting and settled down to a steady rpm. I checked output and it's spot on. I doubt you can find a better generator for a price even close to this unit.

Just received it and so far so good,! Hooked up the power wires and it started first try..

Keeping power during the storm season- hopefully it's just being pro active

Just got it, started and worked first thing ! Time will tell...

We haven't had to use it yet, it's for power outages, but have set it up and test run it.

BOUGHT THE WGEN9500 TO REPLACE A 6500 WATT GENERATOR THAT WOULDN'T COVER THE DEMANDS OF OUR HOME

I bought it about a month ago and as advertised. Very happy so far
