Easy Install

The "set-up" to get the generator going is rather simple. The electrician walked me through the steps for operations, which paralleled the owners' manual. So far, I have had one test run which went smoothly, running all that we would need during a power outage. I read many reviews and at this juncture I would agree and am glad for this purchase.

Solid looking

I just bought this a week ago. It looks good. it came with the gas and propane cords, a quart of oil, and a battery charger. After the electrical hookups, I will test it to see if it runs the whole house as others have declared. I'm excited about the prospects.

Simple Setup

Delivery was a breeze and even arrived earlier than expected. The setup was straight forward by following the manual. The manual is complete and easy to understand. I stated the unit using a 20# cylinder of LP gas. I also stated it on natural gas without any issues. I do not plan on using gasoline unless I have to. This was a prime selling point for my purchase. I know I will be using this sometime this spring.

Excellent Generator for Home Use

I recently purchased this generator and it has exceeded all my expectations. It runs great, providing more than enough power to keep my household running smoothly during power outages. The generator is incredibly easy to start, which is a huge plus, especially in urgent situations. Using this generator is a breeze – it's user-friendly and straightforward. Maintenance is also simple, making it a reliable option for long-term use. I feel confident that this generator will save my family from any power outage inconveniences. Overall, I highly recommend this generator for its performance, ease of use, and reliability.

As advertised!

We bought this generator two months ago, and I have finally had time to open the box. Assembly was very simple and straightforward. Directions are clear and even I was able to put the wheels on and program the remote. There were no steps skipped in the directions, and they assumed that you knew nothing, which was perfect for me. After putting oil and gas in the generator, I open the fuel valve, pressed start and Wala! It started on the first push button. I ran it about 10 minutes and put it back in the garage. Actually, I hope I never need to use it because we bought it in case of hurricanes

Great features for the price with a reliable name.

I'm very happy with this investment for a number of reasons. This model will be able to run house including AC! The key thing I was looking for was tri-fule capability. Gas and propane is good for quick and short time use cases, but natural gas gives me flexibility for long term outages. I live on the gulf coast of Texas so I want to be able to run this for multiple days if needed. I will be building a weather proof shed on my property for storage that will open up for cooling and ventilation. I will be able to run a natural gas line to the shed so that I can turn it on quickly and not worry about fuel during those longterm outages we can get in hurricane season. I'm also very comfortable with the Westinghouse name and the warranty offered with this unit. I hope to send some pictures when I have the shed built.

Solidly Built, Fast Assembly

This generator came out of the box in immaculate condition. Solid wheels and rubber pads installed quickly. Followed with easy connect of the battery. Nothing seemed to be missing, and a quart of oil, with a funnel, was shipped as well. I really like the fold down towing handle. Nothing rickety about that. Will add oil, get gas cans, and wait for the next severe thunderstorms, which seem to be a regular occurrence here in SE PA anymore.

Electric start great , quick assembly.

Just bought this generator. Love it so far. Quick start up procedure great, need two people to assemble wheels very heavy. I'll let you no how it really operates after our first Hurricane for 2024 in central Florida. I see how It stands up to my 20 year old Honda generator. Going to run it for a while to test it out. So far so good.

Awesome Product

We purchased this generator almost a month ago and couldn't be happier with our decision. Living in Eastern NC, we experience hurricanes yearly, and we get the occasional winter snowstorm. We live out in the country and anytime any such storm is forecasted, its practically a guarantee we will lose power. In the past, these power losses have been anywhere from a few hours to several days. I have a 26-year-old special needs daughter who spends the majority of her life on the internet. Of course, no power...no internet, It doesn't take long before everyone is in a fowl mood. Also, if the outage extends more than a few days we lose 2 chect-type freezers full of food and everything in the refrigerator. Added to all of this, I, myself was put on oxygen by my doctors in July. Its something I will have to deal with for the rest of my life. As you can read, taking all of these circumstances into account made selecting a generator a very important decision. We did our homework and researched several different models and brands. After much deliberation, we decided on the Westinghouse WGen 9500. It met all of our needs and then some, It's big enough for the square footage of our house, and having the option of using the remote is truly a blessing, I don't want to have to go out in a storm at my age to pull start it, at 70 years old, it's not safe. We haven't had it a month yet but have already put it to the test. We took almost a direct hit from tropical storm Ophelia last weekend. We lost power before the storm even made landfall. Within minutes we were back up and running. Nobody got fussy without the internet, we had no loss of food and I was able to continue on my oxygen. This generator is definitely a lifesaver. We do have plans to have it hard wired to the house when finances permit but even using it with cords, we couldn't be happier. I would like to receive the cover to protect it. Thank you for making a fantastic product.
