Bought this to replace a 4400 watt (really 3500 watt) generator that couuldn't do the job during an ice storm. Love the fact that this generator is rated at running watts and not surge watts! Also like the fact that it comes with a battery maintainer so I don't have to worry about the batteries.

I just unboxed my generator and put everything together. Test ran with 1 gallon of gas. Powered the Samsung Refrigator in kitchen, the Kenmore Refrigator on patio the entertainment center in my room. And an outdoor fan. Ran everything for about an hour and a half on 1 gallon if gas. Could have powered a lot more items with no problem. I let unit shut itself off so I didn't have to drain any gas. Hopefully we will not get any power outages this year from hurricanes but if we do at least I am ready.

9500 watts was just right in order to power most of my needed household appliances during outages. unit was heavy, but is built well. no issues to date. wish it came with a 30 amp or 50 amp cord. cant beat the price point for the quality of what youre getting.

I bought this generator as emergency back-up power in the event of an extended power outage. When initially tested, the 5-ton AC unit threw the breaker every time it kicked on, but after installing a soft-start on my AC unit, it operated just fine. It ran the AC, electric water heater, selected lights, internet outlets, TV, etc...all of the essentials that we would need in an emergency. It will most likely need a lot of gasoline, so I am planning on having several 5-gallon gas cans available so that I can keep it running in an emergency.

I live in South Florida and wanted something large enough to power my central AC, fridge etc during hurricane season. Last year I had an electrician install a 50A outlet outside so I could just connect the generator to that one outlet and power the whole house. It was astonishing to me how may generators of this size only offer 30A and not 50A outlets. That is what ultimately led me to this model. I bought it back in Oct, but that was the end of hurricane season, so it sat in my garage unboxed until today because I've had so many other pressing home projects. This weekend was project free so figured I better inbox this and make sure it runs. The set up was super easy, tip to it side, connect feet and wheels, add oil (which is provided in the box), add gas, connect battery, turn fuel Valve to on, turn electric on, hit start on the remote (a generator with a remote start is so cool, so had to use the remote). Hit the start button on the remote and it cranked twice but didn't start (of course this is expected due to the fact that the carburetor was bone dry). Cool thing is, it re-tried starting again without me hitting the button and stated right up, ran like a champ for 20 min with no issues. It comes with a battery charger that plugs right into the panel, has a fuel gauge and electric meter that monitors voltage, run time, etc. I love everything about this generator, easy to assemble and use, 12,500W peak and 9500W continuous power and a 50A connection, have no doubt that this will power all the household essentials when that big storm hits

I've only unboxed and started assembly right now but I can say that everything is packaged nicely. Arrived damage free. Components seem to be high quality. I've had a few generators in my day and this is right up at the top a far as build quality goes.

My Westinghouse generator model WGen9500c arrived today. The generator was well packaged on a wooden pallet. Easy to unbox, easy instructions on how to apply the wheels and the front supports. And a nice package of basic tools for the spark plug and stuff. Even came with a quart of oil. Battery charger is included. And we let that run for about six hours before we tried to start. The generator started up the very first push of the button. All in all, it looks like a nice setup.

Bought this Gen last week and received it 5 days later. Extremely easy to put together, put oil in (although it took an extra 4 oz from what they sent to get it full), and connect the battery. Once fueled I selected the fuel, flipped the battery switch, pressed the remote button, and within a couple of seconds it was running. I let it warm up about 15 minutes before putting any load on it, but when I did, no issues...it was powering the house minus the 5 ton HVAC. After the break-in period, I ensured everything was off in the house and turned the HVAC on, no issues. The initial start up of the HVAC is probably close to max for the Gen, but once the HVAC is running, it powers it without any issues.

I just bought this generator to replaced a Generac I had that died. The ease of use was a determining factor for me with the remote start. I have not had a chance to use the generator yet but setting it up and testing it, I know if will be easy to use and that makes me happy!

Used this unit for about 10 hours under moderate to heavy load on a mobile food trailer and it held up very well so far. Consistent power to my 240v/50amp system which operates multiple heavy load appliances including an electric smoker (1800 watts) and (2) steam tables (1200 watts each). The price and features including electric start have impressed me.
