So far so good

I hooked up the generator to my natural gas line. I've only done the break in and it works as expected. I like the push button start. It would be nice to be able to drain the oil without tilting the generator since it's so heavy. The wheel installation is definitely a 2 person job.

Great price nice

I bought this 9500c / 12500 unit for when a hurricane knocks out power. So far, I added synthetic oil and fuel as specified. Started up on first press of the start button! Let it run for 15 minutes while running basic lights and a power tool. Will be getting a transfer panel soon so I can run freezer/frig & lights in house, stay tuned for a 5th star

WGen9500

I bought the product three weeks ago and it was easy to assemble. It fired up on the first try. Have not connected anything to it because I didn't get the power cord with it. I contacted Westinghouse and their customer service was great. Hopefully I'll be getting the power soon and putting this beast to the test. More to come….

Assembling the Westinghouse WGen9500TFc

I bought this generator.about 3 weeks ago in early February of 2024 and assembled it today. All parts were in the box and the instructions were easy to follow. Next I added the supplied oil to the tri-fuel engine. It was easy to assemble and had no missing parts. This unit was to replace a much smaller generator that I pssed on to my daughter. Everything works fine, with gasoline and propane and I am very pleased with my purchase. .

Great generator and easy to use.

Easy to get operational. Started up immediately and has sufficient power for our needs. Based on limited experience, we believe it will handle our well, septic, and other power requirements during an outage. We are happy and confident we will never be without emergency power again!

Solid Value

Had been considering a portable generator for whole home backup since the 2021 freeze and finally decided it was time after this year's derecho. Not two months later it was put to use after a hurricane. I was pleased with its performance once I figured out the fuel selector knob was stripped (still waiting on a replacement). Thankfully a monkey wrench did the trick. Overall no regrets, except maybe I should have gone with the 11500.

Great value for the money.

I have bought a model #WGen9500TFc generator 2 months ago. I added oil and gas and hit the remote starter fob, it started right up an hasn't missed a beat so far. This generator runs for 6-10 every third day to charge the batteries in our 5th wheel camper. I would highly recommend this generator for anyone that needs a dependable powerful generator.

Very easy to start

This is my first gas generator purchased in late October. I did quite some online research and decided to go with this brand and model based on our house needs. I am not a handy person yet I found the instructions very clear and easy to follow. I set up the wheels and filled up the gas tank, connected the battery then ready to start. It took me a few minutes to realize that I didn't put the gas valve to the "On" position. The electric start really made the start so simple. I let it ran for an hour to help break a little bit. Very satisfied with the experience of getting started. Now I have the generator wired to the panel by an electric engineer and expect it to run the whole house except the AC.

Solid Generator with Easy Setup

The generator is solid. Only wheels and rubber feet have to be installed. Clip zip tie off and connect battery leads together. Add oil and gas. Program the remote key FOB. It's that easy. Came with a battery trickle charger which is great and I don't have to tie up my larger unit. It is a very heavy unit but the wheels and foldable handle make it easy to move around.

This generator is a beast!

I upgraded to this unit from a ~30 year old 2500 watt unit. Got tired of running extension cords throughout the house. I also had an electrician install a 50 amp receptacle and interlock in my existing panel along with a natural gas stub to run the unit. I have run it a few times already just to test everything out. Was able to run the whole house with no problem. I specifically bought this unit to use with natural gas during power outages simply because I did not want to have carburetor problems that are possible with traditional generators. I also ran it off gas just to make sure everything works. I like they have included a carburetor drain screw to help there is no carb gumming (ethanol is some nasty stuff if you leave it in equipment). This generator is very well worth it. The only slight nitpick I have is when running on gas, the tank doesn't fully drain. I tried running it out of gas (and it was on a level surface) and there was still a bit of fuel left in the tank. Not a huge deal for me since I plan on only using natural gas.
