Nice Generator for the $$

This is my second WGen9500c. So basing my review on my first one. I kept it plugged in and it was always there when I needed it. I can't fight with a pull cord and the push button and remote are fantastic! Make sure to use fuel stabilizer in your gas if you're not using it often. I use mine if the power goes out or if we need to use some power tools outside. My first one, still trucking at another residence.

WGen9500c

Excellently received in box on a crate, opened and all parts present. Followed simple instructions for assembly and first time run operation. Everything worked as it should and is now stored nicely in my garage awaiting its first real call to action.

Great product with great user manual included.

Easy set up with no extra tools needed. Poured in the included bottle of oil. Removed the spark plug and placed less than a teaspoon of oil in the cylinder wall and pulled it 10 times to distribute that oil. Reinstalled, spark plug. I then hooked up to a propane bottle and hit the remote start button started right up. Ran flawlessly for one hour with no power hook up. I then began to vary the wattage from 750 W to 3500 for 15 minutes and shut it down. Will continue to break in less than 50% rated wattage for five hours and then change the oil and it should be ready to go for the big load.

No free gift for your review

Don't bother giving a review for the free gift. Fine prints says while supplies last. I guess they ran out many months ago if they had any to start with. Just another gimmick to get over inflated reviews for their products. Save your effort and skip the reviews.

the 9500c is misleading it is fuel injected

I wanted a carburetor not a fuel injection system. Not much was made clear to me in its description. This is just more electronic junk to go bad, including the remote, which is only greed. I did wonder why everyone in the US was selling these so cheap? Now I know. I had to change from the great generators I had been using to this! I hope it lasts through December. It has too many gadgets and they cannot even put the serial number on the manual... you have to go out in a storm when it arrives and find it just above the exhaust and try to write it down while breathing exhaust. I wonder what would happen in a storm if you were trying register it by breathing exhaust? Yet, there are thousands of warnings about everything. I am off-grid and have had 100s of generators, yet I cannot even work on this one. Westinghouse has made it impossible without a electronics shop to work on this machine. I will not buy another Westinghouse.. greed typical of companies like Westinghouse. I do not recommend this product for any place where you are using it as backup for storms.

Westinghouse Review

I've been using my Westinghouse generator for several months now, and I couldn't be happier with the performance. It's incredibly reliable, easy to start, and surprisingly quiet for a generator of its size. Impressive standby power package

This impressive generator is an upgrade from a gasoline only 5.5 kW unit we have had since Hurricane Katrina in 2005. That unit has served us well but hunting for gas has been a struggle every time. The WGen came highly recommended and unboxing it I can see why. It has an amazing list of features and solid build quality that I have come to appreciate after living on standby power many times. Installing the wheels and feet was straight forward and easy with the included tools. After adding the oil shipped with it, I started and ran it on propane and natural gas using the hoses shipped with it. The control panel layout is intuitive and useful. The data center meter displaying voltage/frequency/run hours/and maintenance timer is my second favorite feature after the tri-fuel capability. I also appreciate the muffler and exhaust system. We feel a sense of relief and security knowing we have this solid source of electricity ahead of the next storm season.

Too new to be sure

Unpacked this generator this past weekend. Followed the instructions. At first start, engin ran rough and then stopped. It restarted and stopped several times. Then after sitting for about an hour, I restarted it and it ran very smoothly. I let it run for approx. 5 minutes and then plugged in a refrigerator. The generator shut down immediately. I unplugged the refrigerator and restarted the generator. Haven't been able to restart it. Letting it sit overnight to restart.

Great features and extremely easy to setup!

I love that I have the options to use three different types of fuel. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. I had thought I would have to buy oil and hoses but those come included as well. The wheels and handle come in very handle to make this portable. Overall this was a great purchase!

Becareful what you buy!

I bought this generator through amazon Oct, of 2020. Was only used when power to our house would go out, so I have less than 20 hours on it. Generator started running bad found the inside carb stud was broken in half with the threaded part still in the head. Called Westinghouseabout the 3 year warranty wont cover the work. My opinion bad workmanship por quality of parts.
