Safety for the Working Traveler

As a consultant I am driving across the USA in all kinds of weather with my 2012 VW Passat Diesel. The michelin tire gives me a great ride and a extra degree of safety by allowing me to change lanes quickly to avoid another driver or debris in the road. I presently have over 50K miles on my Passat and the tire still look new. The tire is exceptional and also improved my Miles per gallon of fuel to close to 50 around town and 43 on the highway at interstate speeds and above. Michelin tires are the only tires I allow my family will run on their vehicles.

Initial Observations After One Week

Four Primacy MXM4 ZP replacements for 2023 BMW 330i with M-Sport package. Very early assessment (one week of driving) is they have an underlying low level tire "roar". Seems like an artifact of some brands' runflat tires; time will tell whether that remains. Also exhibit a typical Michelin whine when driven over many concrete freeway surfaces at speed. I'm expecting good handling performance and better wear from these tires.

Good Riding Tires

These are my 3rd set of Michelins for my 2007 Toyota Avalon. The first 2 sets were "Energy". I switched primarily for longer tread life and lower price. I now have about 10,000 miles on them and the Primacys seem to be just as good as the Energy-so I feel I made a good decision. They are just as smooth and quiet. Gas Mileage is about the same. The cornering seems good even those these are "H" rated vs "V" on the Energys. I don't do much racing so for my purposes "H" is fine. I would but these again.

Best Premium Luxury Tires

I have driven on these tires for 9 months now and they still look new. Ride comfort, quietness, and response are the best I have had in any car. These replaced the OEM tires Cadillac puts on the DTS Sport -- the old tires left a lot to desire. The Primacy MXM4 low profile tires enhance my car's appearance, ride and performance. I will buy these tires exclusively for as long as I own this vehicle. Typically, I drive a car until the wheels fall off. We hold onto our vehicles into the 18+ year range so ride comfort is important to me.

Great cornering

I have used two full sets of these tires on my 2013 Camry V6, and they provide great handling. The side walls are pretty stiff, and they have pretty good cornering traction. They don't last as long as stated on the warranty (at least for me) but they are a good balance of grip and treadwear. Way better than Sumitomo A/S PO2. I also love the low rolling resistance, because I do a lot of highway driving.

Best Tire

Compared to my last set of tires at 1500 miles, the Toyo Versado LX, these Michelins at outperformed the Toyos. A lot grippier, less road noise, and better ride comfort. I rather spend more on the Michelins than to save about $30 per tire on those cheap Toyos. Now let's see how long the Michelins last. The Toyos lasted about 39000 miles on a '08 Acura TSX.

Didn't get the Mileage I expected

I drive a 2011 Dodge Challenger R/T Classic. I got right at 30000 out of the original tires. I have only gotten 13000 out of these and they need replaced. I expected at least the same performance as the originals. My driving habits didn't change and yes, sometimes I hot rod it. I did with the originals too. It is a Challenger. They are good handling tires in everything except snow. Only complaint is low tread life for a tire at this price. I'm switching back to the original manufacturer for the Challenger. Might still try Michelin for my Escape though. It has Michelin on it now and I'll see how they do since I bought it used. I've had good luck with Michelin in the past. These are the first that didn't meet my full expectations.

Not even 24k miles and need replacing.

Bought my Avalon 2 years ago and have less than 24k miles on it and tires are at the wear bars already. Regular rotations and air pressure adjustments, needless to say are not enough. Sad part is it's been 23.5 months...I shouldn't have to put tires on it in less than 24 months. I've always like Michelin tires until now. Guess I'll start looking elswhere for tire products. This is a very poor respresentation of what used to be a good tire manufacturer.

Poor ride after the first 8,000 miles, wear quickly

I have bought the Michelin Primacy's for most of my vehicles over the past 10-12 years, and now need to look for another brand. My 2016 Lexus ES350 came with the Primacy MXM4's, and at 29k miles, they are just about to the wear bars. They are rotated every 5k miles, with inflation checked, during my regular service visits. I used to be very impressed with longevity and quality of ride... but something has changed, and the quality has nose-dived! The last two sets that I had put on our 2014 Honda Odyssey also lacked the forgone quality.
