Gazebo was purchased last year, and it was the best addition to our patio. Looks great and it is very useful since we are having 4 seasons living in Arizona White Mountains covering seating area from the rain and snow. It is very sturdy and appear very durable.

I'm so glad I purchased this carport. Originally, we were going to build on an additional garage, but after getting quotes on a project that size, we started looking at other options. Settled on the Norwood Carport by Backyard Discovery and man I'm glad we went this route. I'm 63 and somewhat handy with building things, so I put it together myself. Obviously, doing it by myself posed a few challenges, but all in all it was a breeze. Very simple install. The step by step directions (included) were great, and the labeling of the pieces was perfect. Total install took me about 2 weeks to complete, but that included some special concrete footings which I poured myself since I was installing it on a slight grade (and it was winter) On a flat space this would be super easy. I was amazed how well engineered this structure is. This thing is awesome. The only assistance I needed was to set the roof panels on. I had the panels ready, so with 4 people, we were able to set the roof panels into place in about 1 hour. Once those were on and in place, I was able to secure them by myself. Making sure all was square and plumb; those roof panels went on very smooth. In hindsight, the only thing I should have done differently; I should have stained all wood prior to install. Also, since it was on a grade, I added (taller) customized 6" x 6" cedar posts to accommodate the grade. I plan to use the extra four 6"x6" cedar posts that came with the unit as fence and gate posts on the backside of the carport. I will add pics later.

Assembly of the two gable ends, the double rafter Center section, and side rails can be easily assembled by one person in a garage or shop setting and on a work table with space all around to complete the bolt ups of the posts and tails. The assembly instructions are quite easy to follow by most people and moving the sections to the concrete pad for tilt up and connection is possible by two people but three people is recommended for tilt up. Note: Organizing all the numbered posts, numbered rafters, rails, brackets, nuts, bolts, etc. beforehand is highly recommended to avoid errors. Assembling the wooden roof sections was also easy to install in a shop but squaring the roof panel section within the allowable tolerance was difficult, although the holes were pre-drilled. I would prefer to install the metal panels after the wood frame was in place on the roof to ensure it is squared with the erected structure. Roof Cap needs a better design. Provide more screws, nuts, bolts, etc!!

Purchased Dec 2022. It took three days to assemble, however we probably could have finished in two if we didn't chit chat and take a ton of breaks. Assembly went smooth and the paper instructions where put together very well. There is a 3D app that can be downloaded that also helps walk you through assembly. We referenced the app a couple times when we couldn't quite see something right in the paper instructions. Very pleased with the quality and sturdyness. Highly recommend. Would definitely.purchase again, and have been thinking about getting a size smaller for another area of the backyard.

We moved from Florida to Maine and we always had a screened in pool so coming to Maine with all the bugs we knew we wanted to be able to be outside in the nice weather. we were able to screen this in and enjoy being able to eat outside. This fit perfectly on our deck and quality is outstanding

I have zero complaints, love the final product. No missing pieces, and instructions were easy to follow. You do have to be somewhat handy to put it all together, and if you dont square it up the roof panels will not go on right. That was the only thing with the set up i would warn people about. And it 100% is not a one person job.

We’ve had this gazebo installed for a year. Stained every board before installation. Put it together by myself except for installing the roof panels. The instructions were very easy to follow. Sitting here, by the lake, with the soft rain sprinkles making music on the roof is just about the best thing I can imagine. I’d recommend this gazebo to anyone anywhere.

We did an "unboxing" and part sorting as a family to begin our barnraising of the Norwood Gazebo. With the exception of a few holes that needed a bit of drilling to ease the alignment the kit went together well over the course of about 4 days during a wave of 90 degree weather. My wife and young adult children all joined in the project and the experience was enjoyable overall. The quality of the cedar wood components and the hardware and exceptional brackets made the kit a great value. The design and engineering are superior and make the Norwood Gazebo a wonderful and practical addition to our property and outdoor lifestyle. Highly recommended!

As we live on a heavily wooded lot, we decided to purchase a gazebo to erect over the pool in order to afford it some protection from falling branches, leaves, etc. After much research, we chose Backyard Discovery's 12'x16" Norwood. We settled on this company due to their consistently positive reviews, high quality & attractive designs. Our gazebo was delievered quickly & complete. Instructions were straightforward & easy to understand, with everything clearly labeled. This may sound like a small detail, but on a large project like this it makes a big difference: Drilled holes were where they were supposed to be & bolts aligned as projected, making assembly as stress-free as possible. Our gazebo is now a beautiful, functional addition to our backyard. We have been delighted with every aspect of our purchase. From choice, to deivery, assembly to contributing to the aesthetic of our home, we couldn't possibly be more happy with our Backyard Discovery gazebo.
