easy dinner

Bit over seasoned and salty but still edible. Easy to throw in the oven and just prepare a couple sides. Can use roasting pan but cooked fine on a baking sheet as well as on a toaster oven rack placed on a baking sheet. This is part of the dinner rotation!

DO NOT BUY! Horrible...90% Fat

I've bought these in the past and they've been great, however, recently, these are nothing more than rolled fat. 90% of this loin was super fat with hardly any meat. The family was excited for this loin and it was a huge disappointment...we just ended up eating mashed potatoes and green beans. I ended up cutting up the loin and fed it to our possums in the yard...they like it.

Fatty and salty

I had never bought that product before and was excited when I got it. this excitement ended when I cut the pork loin in slices and saw that it consisted of half fat. On top it was extremely salty. What a disappointment! I was lucky that I made enough rosemary potatoes and carrots; that way our 4 teenage boys did not have to get off the table hungry. I tried several times to add a picture which would have proven my point without words but it always says "invalid files".

Fatty-just too much fat

Bought one several weeks ago and it was great- bragged to my neighbor it was one of the best I ever cooked. Sorry, I bought another several weeks later and the fat cap runs the entire length of the loin and was 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick!!! This isn't a normal size hog that this came from and could be due to pandemic and hog growers having to keep their hogs longer and they are just bigger and fatter.I couldn't eat it and for much, would ask for my money back, but the bacon itself was OK, I guess.

PEPPPPPPPPER

Why would you think you have to take a fine piece of pork and literally saturated it with PEPPER....Let the meat stand on it's own. After reading the reviews I even rinsed bot the bacon and the loin....When you taste it's all about the PEPPER and the meat tastes gets lost.

Flavorful and Tender

This pork loin wrapped in bacon cooks evenly and comes out delicious when baked in the oven. The bacon is the perfect crispness and the meat is fully cooked and tender when following the cooking directions of 400 degrees fir about 45 minutes depending on the size.

Pork Loin Fillet is Deceptive

This is not pork loin--the grain of the meat was widthwise. Instead of slicing across the grain it ended up being with the grain, and therefore tough to eat. There was no marbling in the meat. The bacon added flavor, but the meat itself was dry and lacked flavor despite the marinade.. The brine did not tenderize. I would not buy this again and will be tossing the leftovers.

disappointing

The first two times I bought this pork loin it was terrific. I liked it so much I bought three the last time in was in the store. But now it's like they pulled a bait and switch. I've cooked two out of the three and they were both so fatty the dog got most of it. Maybe the one left in the freezer will be ok but I have my doubts.

Member's Mark Bacon Wrapped Pork Loin Fillet

flavor was fine, would appreciate either a string or toothpick version so the bacon is secure for grilling/roasting without my having to do it only as a convenience to me. Grilling really helped with flavor and make sure the bacon was crisp. I halve the loin and freeze as this feeds a family of 4, twice, and we bought the smallest one we could find.
