Chipped enamel

I have this pot about 4 years and loved it until today. I sautéed bacon, mushrooms and onion in the pot. When I stirred the mixture I realized that the enamel had chipped off the inside bottom of the pot and ruined my soup. I tried to contact the Manufacturer with no luck.

Beautiful pot that chipped on the first use

I got the cranberry color with the gold pot handle, and it's one of the more gorgeous pots I own... or have owned, because I am returning it. I bought it today, and used it for dinner. The enamel chipped while washing it afterwards using a standard green/yellow sponge and dawn soap. I am very careful with my pots, and have another enamel pot that has lasted 4+ years without a single chip. Clearly the process they are using is inferior to other brands.

SAVE YOUR RECEIPT!!!

I purchased this dutch oven about a year and a half ago and it now has 3 significant chips in the porcelain. I've only used wooden or plastic spoons with it and have carefully washed it by hand. I tried to get my receipt from my local Sams Club and they couldn't find it. Tramontina will not honor the lifetime guarantee if you can't produce a receipt. I guess if you got one as a gift, you're also out of luck.

Great Dutch Oven

I really like this Dutch Oven - Love not only the Color choices but the versatility of the item. I cooked Tuna Noodle Casserole and those of you know it can create a mess of your pan and this cleaned up perfectly like new. Would definitely recommend.

Gift from mom

I do a lot of slow cooking, so my mom got me one of these a month ago for my birthday. I was a bit concerned about how often I would actually use it and where I would be able to store it due its size and heft. After using it once for brisket I completely fell head over heals in love with it; and all concerns fell away. I got 4 uses out of it and on the 5th use while heating it, I heard a loud ¡¡POP!! Some of the interior enamel bursted off. I called my mom, she said it came from Sam's Club but no longer had the receipt. I decided to call Tramontina and they emailed me a shipping label and I dropped it off at a FedEx and it's been less than a week, but they are already sending me a new one. So even though I had a problem with the pot, I do love it and they hold true to their warranty and it's been easy to acquire a replacement. I understand manufacturing flaws happen, but I love the Tramontina brand and they really came through. I can't wait for the new one to arrive.

Great Dutch Oven

I bought this in a beautiful burgundy color because it was a great price- I thought it looks nice and well made, how bad can it be? Let me tell you I was not disappointed. It performs very well and is a great low cost addition to my kitchen cookware. If I were to say anything negative, it would be that the weight is heavy for me and when you add the food it is even heavier of course. I usually put the dutch oven without the lid into the oven first, then put on the lid. Clean up is easy after I soak the pan in hot soapy water a bit. I have made many pot roasts, lamb shanks and lamb shoulder meals as well as no-knead breads in it (I have a smaller 4.5 qt Tramontina dutch oven as well that I normally use for the bread). Very happy with it!

very disappointed

I purchased this for my wife because she wanted one really badly and we’ve had it for a few years now. We’ve used it only few times now it has a chip inside the pot and we reached out to the company it’s self and they won’t help with the defect. Buyer beware if you get this and it’s gets messed up they won’t help you buy a different brand.

Great deal! You WANT this pot. You NEED this pot :)

Very impressed by quality and design, too. The stainless steel lid knob is a nice touch - even Le Creuset has bakelite (plastic) knobs unless you pay for a premium line. I've made 2 braised dishes so far and very pleased with performance and also how easy it cleans. By the time you're ready to wash it, nothing's really sticking - just fill it with hot water and use a sponge + dish soap. It's also just beautiful. And I like the shape and design of the lid a little better than some of the standard Le Creuset pots. Granted, Le Creuset has some really nifty items, but they are $350. It's pointless to argue whether Le Creuset is better. This pot costs less than shipping back to France if you ever need their lifetime warranty. It's very well made. From what I've read France and China are the only places in the world that make this type of product, at least as available to us here in the US. FWIW Lodge enameled pots are made in China too and IMHO this Tramontina is a better deal. I have several bare cast iron seasoned cookware items - skillets and a large and small camp oven. Those are great, but I've always wanted enameled - because sometimes you just want to leave the dish in the pot and move to the fridge and not worry about rusting or reseasoning. And it looks great and the light interior makes it easier to assess the progress visually (which is why they like them in cooking shows, it looks better on camera).

Run from this Dutch Oven!!

I hardly give reviews, but I decided to write something down this time around at least to save another customer from losing their money. Please believe every review here, despite all the negative feedback I decided to purchase it with the intention of being careful in handling it. I bought this 7-inch Tramontina Dutch oven from Sam's Club. I ordered it on November 23, 2022, and it was delivered on November 26, 2022. When I got it, I decided to boil water in it to help clean it before using it. After the water was cooled, I saw this rust on the rims of both the lid and the pan after the first use. I tried cleaning it, but the rust stain wouldn’t go away. Please don't waste your money and buy this, run away from it
