First of all, Yes, this does have a protein after taste. If that is something you can’t tolerate, I would not recommend this to you. I have tried all three of the flavors and the salted caramel has to be my favorite. I prefer to freeze or microwave my bars for better texture. As far as I’m concerned, there is no “artificial” taste. Besides, a little “artificial” isn’t going to hurt anybody. These bars are great as a pre or post workout snack. They even work as meal replacements.

However these still do taste like a protein bar. some brands of protein bars have got it to where they taste a lot better but also have more sugar, calories and other things to make them taste better. These bars do live up to their name as "pure protein" since they're just a simple protein bar with no frills and are cost-effective. Protein bars aren't my favorite thing but I would buy these again. I might try another brand but I wouldn't say no to this brand for sure.

I have been eating these bars for well over a year and my husband and I both enjoy them. It tastes like I’m eating a candy bar for an afternoon snack. I love these as a quick snack before my workout. The peanut butter and cookie dough are my favorite. My husbands loves the salted caramel and the fudge. I haven’t tried a flavor that I didn’t like. The Sam’s size box is the best value for your money!

I tried the chocolate peanut caramel to start off, and it has a creamy, milky, soft texture. Other protein bars have a chalky texture, but Pure Protein tastes nothing like that! With only 2-3 grams a sugar, this is also perfect for a low sugar diet. The one bar kept me satisfied in place of a snack, so it's perfect for someone like me who is constantly on the go.

I've purchased this protein bar for many years, they are now very expensive and about 1/2 the size also the ingredients have changed we've had to throw out the Chocolate deluxe twice. I tried reaching to the company but there seems to be no email. So here I am leaving a review for Sams club.
