The only downside is they leave a strange aftertaste. But, they have lots of protein and are low in sugar which is amazing since many protein bars don't.

I regularly drink pure protein along with my family members to try to get in enough protein for a serving or to use on busy days for a meal replacement. I feel that some of their drinks can be chalky still so I was excited to try these bars. They are not chalky, taste decent compared to other bars I've tried and cure a sweet tooth as a bonus. I got home with the box and my kids were begging to try them because they can see the chocolate look on the box. They loved them and have been trying to eat all my protein bars! They have a lot of protein to make a substantial snack and the ingredients list seems relatively clean.

I enjoyed this one because it had a distinct caramel nut flavor throughout about half the bar. What I didn't like is that these bars have a strong protein flavor when you first bite and chew them, but some of the other flavors come out. I enjoy that these have a good amount of protein and very low sugar, as this helps with my nutrition. The bars are filling, which is also nice!

I like that this is a variety pack (I do wish that it had more of the chocolate peanut caramel bars-those are my favorite!) I also really like the price of this box at Sam's Club. For about a dollar each I now have a new favorite afternoon work snack that is satisfying. And I love that they are gluten free, full of protein and low in calories.

I have never purchased this brand before and decided to give it a shot because it's a variety pack and they are gluten free. I like that they come in individual boxes for each flavor. I tried each and my favorite was the chocolate peanut butter. I get a super heavy fake flavoring from them (perhaps that's the whey or some sort of sugar additive. I like more natural ingredients than what is in these bars. There is a slight not so great aftertaste to them. I like the protein amount and calorie intake as it's like a meal replacement essentially and that’s really my only recommendation for these to someone else. I have been eating Pure Protein bars for several years. Chocolate Deluxe is my favorite and I used to solely buy those. Over the past 1-2 years I have been buying the variety pack (23 total with 3 flavors) at Sam's Club. I have noticed that on each purchase one of the 3 flavors will have something a little different (harder than usual or taste a little off). On September 28 I picked up two boxes of these bars. I started with a Chocolate Deluxe and it was delicious. However, the next day I opened a Chocolate Peanut Butter and upon opening I could already smell a rather unpleasant smell. I took a bite and it tasted terrible; something like rotten fish. I spit it out. Opened another, only to have the same result. I tried the Chocolate Peanut Caramel and it was inedible as well. I'm assuming something was wrong with the "Peanut" mix. I do see that there are several other people who have complained about getting a terrible tasting bar and terrible smell in these reviews, so I think there is some problem with the quality control. When the bars taste like they should, they are fabulous (5 stars!); but when you get a bad batch they are inedible! (Sam's Club refunded my money with no issues -- Five stars for Sam's customer service!)
