First of all, Yes, this does have a protein after taste. If that is something you can’t tolerate, I would not recommend this to you. I have tried all three of the flavors and the salted caramel has to be my favorite. I prefer to freeze or microwave my bars for better texture. As far as I’m concerned, there is no “artificial” taste. Besides, a little “artificial” isn’t going to hurt anybody. These bars are great as a pre or post workout snack. They even work as meal replacements.

These are the most disgusting protein bars I’ve ever eaten. They tasted like they had seafood in them. I ate one for my lunch in the Sam’s cafe and could barely choke it down. I forced myself to finish it because I’m on a special meal plan that requires protein at every meal. I returned the rest of the box, minus the one, to customer service, before leaving the store. I can’t imagine anyone buying these unless their tastebuds had been seared or they liked to torture themselves. I would give it a “zero star” if I could, but that’s not an option. Just like this brand of protein bars will never be for me.

However these still do taste like a protein bar. some brands of protein bars have got it to where they taste a lot better but also have more sugar, calories and other things to make them taste better. These bars do live up to their name as "pure protein" since they're just a simple protein bar with no frills and are cost-effective. Protein bars aren't my favorite thing but I would buy these again. I might try another brand but I wouldn't say no to this brand for sure.

I've purchased this protein bar for many years, they are now very expensive and about 1/2 the size also the ingredients have changed we've had to throw out the Chocolate deluxe twice. I tried reaching to the company but there seems to be no email. So here I am leaving a review for Sams club.

The flavor varieties are appealing, but the overall texture of the bar is a little lackluster. They tend to have a bit of a "chalky" aftertaste. These are good for an after work out treat or a mid day snack. Overall, they are your middle of the road protein bar.

Great buy and a great source of protein and low in carbs and calories

These are the best of the protein bars, not gritty and help to give that sweet yet full feeling.

These bars are great! Their a great meal replacement! They are very filling! There awesome!

These are a great price. I haven't eaten any of them yet, but my son says they are terrific.
